Capítulo 28: Contract with the Archfiend
Soon, they were at the central area of the mobile fortress. There was a small stone surrounded by a steel fence, the Coronatite. It was emitting a fiery red light, as if it was a small sun.
Alex cut off the fences with an Oblivion Blade of Nulgath, however it was still impossible to touch it and it was about to blow.
Alex: Hey Aqua, do you have any idea?!
Aqua: I'm the goddess of water, not the biblical God! Hey Wiz, you have a way to deal with this, right?!
Wiz: There is a method… But my mana is insufficient. Sorry Alex, I need your help!
Then she pushed her serious face before him.
Alex: What is it?
She looked desperate, then she placed both of her hands on his cheeks, her thumbs lightly touching the corners of his lips.
Wiz: Can you let me suck a little?
Alex: ...Wait what?
He didn't really know how to face this situation…
Wiz: I need your mana right now, can I take it?

Then Alex felt a cold sensation on his entire body, as if his life force was sucked out. Soon, Wiz released him and Alex took deep breaths.
Wiz: Now, I can use teleportation spells! But… The problem is where to send this thing to… The places I can teleport include Axel, the capital, and the dungeon. Which one should I choose…
Alex: Why not the dungeon?

And so, after a bright light appeared, the ore disappeared together with the light. Alex, Aqua and Wiz sighed in relief.
Then they left from the place, finding all the other adventurers ready to withdraw. They flew down, Alex standing on the Oblivion Blade of Nulgath while Aqua and Wiz on the Overfiend Blade of Nulgath, where Darkness and Megumin were.
Even if they won the fight, Darkness was staring at the fortress seriously.
Alex: Hey Darkness. We already stopped the heart of the Destroyer, it's over. Let's go back to the mansion and eat something good tonight.
Darkness: It's not over yet. I can smell a strong enemy and the stench of danger… That thing is still a threat!
In response to Darkness' words, the fortress trembled with a loud jerk.
Alex: Aww c'mon!
Wiz: What… What should we do?! It's probably the heat accumulated inside being vented! I can't teleport something so big! Alex: ...A contract… What is it?
Aqua: Hey Alex! It's not time to talk with swords! Think of a plan now!
But Alex ignored her and listened to the sword's next words.

Alex: All of my levels…
Nulgath: Di̡e ͞if̴ ̴you͏ ͢th̕i͞nk ̛I҉'̧m u̷n͝r̡eás͝on̢a̕ble.͜ Ea͘rni҉n̢g͏ my gr͡ace͝ w͞iĺl c҉os̨t̕ ̡y̷o̷u.̸
Alex's fists tightened, resetting to 1 was not a laughing matter… But why the hell should he worry about it if he won't choose in time then he won't be even level 1?
Alex: I accept the contract!
Suddenly, the sky turned dark as the Mobile Fortress Destroyer and the light around was sucked in a mysterious black hole. Some particles of light came out from Alex and they, together with the horn he held on himself every time, were taken away and sucked in the black hole too.
Alex fell on his knees, weakened, he took out his adventurer's card and checked it, fortunately, only his level got down, his skills and skill points were left untouched, now he was level 1.
However, the fingernail-sized black hole didn't disappear yet, it seemed as if it was chewing on something, and then… It got longer?
The black hole turned longer, as if it wanted to be a rod, but it didn't stopped there after turning into a 2 meter tall rod, a black blade was formed at the top of it…
It was slowly taking the shape of a naginata with a spiky edge, and soon it was solidifying itself, the black substance turned into a black material that gave off the same feeling that Binky's horn gave.
The staff part of the naginata was decorated with streaks of greek symbols, at the blunt end of it there was a small skull with spiky teeth while the sharp end had the words "MILTONIUS" in greek.
The naginata then floated on Alex's hands as he looked at it with a hint of amazement in the middle of his weakness.
Nulgath: A̛nd̷ ͝wi̵t̡h̢ ̵th҉is,́ th̴e ̢co̕ntra͟ct̶ įs҉ c̷o͞nc҉l̨u̶d͘éd̛. ͟I̷ ̨w̶ill ͡çon͟ta̸c̕t̛ ̀yo͏u͟ ͝in̸ ̷f͞u̧t̢ùr͟e ͡i̴f Į ͡ne̛ed̨ a҉nýt͞hi̷ng,͟ ̸or ̴if ́yóu ̀wa͘nt ̧t͘o ̷m҉ak̵e͜ ͢a co҉ntr̴açt with͟ ̀m͡e҉, servant.
Alex unconsciously nodded as the Oblivion Blade of Nulgath stopped speaking.
Aqua: ...What has just happened?
Alex: ...So… In short, I made a contract with the devil…?
Then he explained Wiz and Aqua about his talking sword and the contract he made with it, without mentioning certain important things, like the link between the blade and Nulgath.
It had been several days since the battle with the Mobile Fortress Destroyer. The mood of the adventurer's guild was joyous today, the adventurers looking at the guild staff with expectant eyes.
Darkness: Alex, it feels weird for me to be the one to say this, but I must thank you for protecting this town… I'm grateful…! One day, I'll tell you everything about myself, and the reason why I want to protect this town.
Alex: To be honest, you did absolutely nothing…
Darkness averted her face and trembled.
Aqua: Well, Darkness just stood in front of the town the entire time. I was working hard, you know! I broke the barrier of the Destroyer!
Megumin: As for me, I destroyed its legs with my Explosion!
Wiz: Alex was great too! His command was on point. He also defeated a large golem in a single strike, extracted the Coronatite ore, provided me with mana and made the Destroyer disappear…!
Alex: Haha, Wiz was superb too, casting an explosion spell and teleporting the Coronatite ore that was about to explode away.
After they finished to comment, Darkness, who was covering her face in embarrassment. started shivering.
Alex: ...So, after making that speech and acting so stubbornly, what did you do?
Darkness: What's this!? This new feeling…! Wahhh!
After teasing Darkness until she squatted down blushing, Alex smirked, when he noticed that the guild was silenced.
Alex lifted his head and saw the reason, before him there was a troubled guild staff member, leading a brunette woman with two knights… Yeah, he defeated Destroyer, but is this necessary?
The woman looked at his direction with serious eyes and said the words that no one expected her to say.
?: Adventurer Alexander Carter! You're under arrest! Come with us!
Alex: Shit, they found my stash of weed!
?: We are not here for the we-you have what?
Alex: Nevermind…
