Capítulo 30: Chapter 30 Enchanting Allure

Thud!

Just as he was reveling in his triumph, the door to the room was violently kicked open.

"Chen Yi?"

Feng Kun's heart skipped a beat at the sight of Chen Yi, and he blurted out in shock, "What are you doing here? Where's Ji Hao?"

The moment Chen Yi stepped into the room, his eyes fell on the scene before him, and a surge of fury ignited within him. With a cold smile, he replied, "Ji Hao? Oh, he's taking a nap in the restroom."

Chen Yi's tone was casual, but to Feng Kun, it carried a weight far beyond mere words.

His gaze fell on Chen Yi's swollen hand and the faint traces of blood that hadn't been wiped clean. A realization struck him like a lightning bolt—Ji Hao had failed!

Even so, a sliver of hope lingered in Feng Kun's heart.

Everyone has a weakness, and Feng Kun prided himself on his ability to exploit them. Han Wenxue's presence here, her compliance in drinking the drugged wine, wasn't a result of her naivety but of her vulnerability being firmly grasped.

All it took was one sentence from Ji Hao: "Do you want to know the truth about the flame sculpture?"

That was enough to lure Han Wenxue upstairs.

Feng Kun had long known that Han Wenxue harbored deep dissatisfaction with the flame-shaped sculpture. It gnawed at her, leaving her perplexed as to why the developer would place such an unsightly object in the community.

He was well aware that she had secretly visited the sculpture several times to study it.

Unlike Ji Hao, who was a complete fool, Feng Kun was well-educated and had a solid understanding of psychology, particularly criminal and negotiation psychology.

He knew that the flame sculpture had become a thorn in Han Wenxue's heart.

The more perfectionist someone is, the more they are troubled by imperfection.

Han Wenxue, being a perfectionist and this being her very first project, couldn't help but be curious about something that so blatantly disrupted the community's harmony.

Thus, it hadn't taken much effort for Feng Kun to deceive her into drinking the drugged wine.

As for Chen Yi, Feng Kun was even more confident.

In his eyes, Chen Yi was nothing more than a money-grubber. What was a so-called "master" if not someone driven by greed? As long as the price was right, Chen Yi wouldn't dare refuse.

Moreover, Feng Kun had planned to record the entire encounter on his phone. Once he showed the footage to Han Wenxue, it would shatter her trust in Chen Yi completely.

Nothing is more devastating than a broken heart. That was the spectacle Feng Kun wanted to witness.

"Name your price."

"Name my price?" Chen Yi was momentarily stunned by the audacity of the remark.

This guy truly believed that everything and everyone could be bought with money.

Though Chen Yi loved money and wasn't above using clever tactics to earn it, he had principles.

The money he earned was meant to provide a better life and education for the children at the orphanage.

But dirty money? How could he use it to support those innocent children?

What if the money brought misfortune upon them?

If people found out, how could he face the kind-hearted couple, Li Haoran and his wife? How could he look into the trusting, adoring faces of the children who saw him as their hero?

"Speechless?" Feng Kun mistook Chen Yi's shifting expression for hesitation and immediately offered what he thought was an irresistible deal. "How about one million? Take the money, leave now, and forget everything that happened tonight. Never appear before me again."

"One million?" Chen Yi chuckled in disbelief. "You think you can buy me for one million?"

"What, too little? Ji Hao was right about you—you're born to be a con artist, a greedy one at that. Fine, name your price. How much do you want?"

Feng Kun's lips curled into a mocking smile. In his eyes, Chen Yi had already succumbed to temptation, only holding out for a higher sum.

So what if it cost more? Eventually, he'd make Chen Yi pay it all back—with interest.

"I want your mother!"

Before Feng Kun could process the insult, Chen Yi's foot lashed out, landing squarely in his chest.

The force sent Feng Kun flying several meters, slamming into the wall. Pain shot through his body, but his face was frozen in disbelief.

Impossible!

That single word echoed in his mind.

How could this money-hungry fraud possibly resist such an enticing offer?

Whether he believed it or not, Chen Yi's answer had been delivered with that decisive kick.

True to his style of mercilessly beating down those who dared cross him, Chen Yi wasn't about to let Feng Kun off so easily.

He stormed over, raised his foot, and began stomping on Feng Kun's once-handsome face.

"Think you're invincible just because you have money?"

"How dare you insult my character!"

"Tempt me with your filthy money? Do you think everyone's as corrupt as you? You must've done this countless times before!"

"Do you think I, a revolutionary comrade, would be swayed by your capitalist decadence? That I'd abandon my principles for a mere million?"

Chen Yi raged like a man possessed, his eyes bloodshot as he unleashed a torrent of kicks and curses. Though his words were righteous, there was an unmistakable undertone of bitterness.

The temptation had clearly struck a nerve.

For someone like him, money was as alluring as fine wine to an alcoholic or drugs to an addict.

Feng Kun's offer had been a deliberate provocation, and Chen Yi's fury poured out in full force, landing squarely on Feng Kun's face.

Finally, after venting most of his pent-up frustration and tiring himself out, Chen Yi stopped.

Fortunately, his feet were more resilient than his hands, sparing him the pain he'd endured earlier.

Feng Kun, however, was left a battered mess, sprawled on the floor like a pile of broken clay, unconscious.

Turning around, Chen Yi prepared to check on Han Wenxue, but the sight that greeted him made his nose bleed profusely.

This was too much!

He was still a virgin—what if he lost control? Who would take responsibility?

Han Wenxue lay on the bed, clad in nothing but her undergarments. Her fiery, curvaceous body writhed like a snake, her soft moans filling the room. Chen Yi's heart pounded wildly, threatening to leap out of his chest.

Panic set in as he felt his resolve falter.

"Big sister! Big sister, wake up!"

"Stop undressing! I've already seen too much!"

Desperate to avoid doing something he'd regret, Chen Yi quickly wrapped her in a bedsheet.

But Han Wenxue, completely unconscious, clung to him like a vine, her slender arms wrapping around his neck as her lips pressed against his.

Chen Yi's mind went blank. It felt as though a thousand primal instincts roared within him, drowning out the voice of reason.

Her lips were soft, warm, and faintly sweet, tinged with the scent of wine. It was a temptation almost impossible to resist.

Summoning every ounce of willpower, Chen Yi pushed her away and clumsily dressed her in an oversized coat. He hastily stuffed her torn clothes into her handbag, along with Feng Kun's phone, which he had noticed on the floor.

With Han Wenxue cradled in his arms, Chen Yi left the room in a hurry.

The moment they descended to the banquet hall, all eyes turned to them.

Chen Yi had already drawn attention earlier with his display of skill, and Han Wenxue was the star of the evening. Now, seeing her flushed and seemingly drunk in Chen Yi's arms, the crowd's curiosity was piqued.

"Master Chen, what happened?"

"Miss Wenxue had a bit too much to drink. I'll take her home first. Please, carry on."

"No worries, we understand. Youthful nights are fleeting, after all!"

"That's not what this is about!"

"Say no more, we get it. Just remember to take it easy, young man!"

No matter how Chen Yi tried to explain, the crowd's knowing smiles and suggestive looks only deepened the misunderstanding.

Resigned, Chen Yi sighed inwardly. His reputation was utterly ruined.

Leaving the Tang Dynasty Club, he faced a dilemma—where should he take Han Wenxue?

Her disheveled state ruled out her grandfather's house. The old man would surely break his legs.

Taking her to his own home was even less appropriate.

With no other option, Chen Yi decided to book a hotel room.

The journey there was an exercise in public scrutiny.

It was nearly 10 p.m., and a young man carrying a half-conscious woman with torn clothes drew stares everywhere they went. A group of elderly ladies nearly called the police, convinced they'd witnessed a crime.

Finally hailing a cab, Chen Yi endured the driver's lewd jokes about seduction and debauchery.

At the hotel, the receptionist's disdainful gaze and sarcastic smile were equally unbearable.

After settling Han Wenxue in the room, Chen Yi opted to sleep on the floor, determined to avoid temptation.

Even so, sharing a space with someone as alluring as Han Wenxue was torment enough.

To keep his resolve intact, Chen Yi silently repeated to himself, I am not a beast. Then, proving himself even less than one, he lay down on the cold, hard floor.
