"The Queen is here!"
Someone in the elven patrol team shouted. The Elven Queen was surrounded by a holy aura as she floated in the sky. She looked down at the injured deputy commander of the Lion Knights.
"You came to our territory with your noses in the air and you attacked our elders. Did you really think that we'd just sit there and let you bully us?"
The Elven Queen had personally descended. Molma, the leader of the Lion Knights and Level 5 Archmage, finally could not sit still.
He looked at the injured deputy commander and laughed out loud while he flew over on his Griffin.
"Elven Queen, don't misunderstand us. We have absolutely no intention of bullying the elves. It's just that there are a few small misunderstandings among some of our subordinates. The humans, the orcs, and the elves have been friendly for three generations. We have signed the Ashuta Treaty together. As a member of the Ten Great Human Kingdoms, the Sky Eagle Empire naturally abides by the treaty set by our ancestors."
The Elven Queen snorted coldly, her gaze frigid. "To think that you still remember the Ashuta Treaty. You led an army into our elven territory and injured our elven elders. This is how you honor the treaty signed by our ancestors?"
The Elven Queen's attitude was unrelenting, but Molma smiled calmly and said, "I've already told you. That was just a misunderstanding."
"A thousand years ago, the Lich King led the Army of the Undead in an attack on the Sacred Continent. The three races worked together and won this war. The Ashuta Treaty that we signed together represents our long-lasting friendship."
"Therefore, after knowing that the elves were in turmoil, the royal family of our empire immediately sent troops to support them. That had only happened because of a small misunderstanding. We are also very sad. We have no intention of taking advantage of the situation to bully the elves!"
As Molma spoke shamelessly, many elves were so furious their faces turned red.
They had never seen someone as shameless as him. He had reversed right and wrong just like that.
Those knights had crossed the elves' defense lines. However, when the elves went up to warn them, not only did they not listen, but they also injured the elves.
Elder Norton wanted to seek justice, but he was ambushed by these despicable knights and was seriously injured.
The Elven Queen's gaze was ice cold. The shamelessness of these knights had really gone beyond the bottom line.
Not only did they erase their own mistakes cleanly, but they had also made the elves, who were the victims of this confrontation, into the party that was unable to be reasoned with.
Chris' gaze towards Molma was filled with sharp coldness.
It was definitely not a coincidence that they had led troops here. And they said that they had come here to help the elves! What bullsh*t!
They had only wanted to probe into the Elves' situation so that they could prepare for the next steps in their plan. The avarice of humans was without end, after all.
He had already experienced this in his previous life.
However, their plan had failed because they were trying to destroy the quiet and peaceful environment of the elves, and Chris would never allow it to happen.
Just as the atmosphere became impossibly charged, Molma continued, "Elven Queen, I know that this misunderstanding is a little tricky, so at the first moment, I informed Rufael's Sorcerers and asked them to head to the Heavenly Night Forest as soon as possible, in order to mediate the conflict between the knights and the Elves."
The Elven Queen narrowed her eyes. Rufael's Sorcerers was a group of sorcerers controlled by the Empire's royal family.
The mages in the group were all Sorcerers at the least. They were brave and skilled in combat, and they obeyed no one but the royal family.
The Lion Knights and Rufael's Sorcerers were both elite forces that belonged to the royal family of the Empire. Just one of them was enough to give people a headache, and now there were two of them.
Any person could see the ambitions of the Sky Eagle Empire.
To make everything worse, the Elven Queen was currently suffering from the effects of a lethal poison and could not display the power of a Saint-level Mage.
Additionally, Gordon, the leader of Rufael's Sorcerers, was a Saint-level Wind Mage.
"Are you threatening me?" The Elven Queen's gaze became even colder.
"Please tell the royal family of the Sky Eagle Empire this on my behalf: we elves love peace, but if anyone thinks that we are easy to bully and hence come to interrupt our peace, we will fight them to the end."
As soon as she finished speaking, the elves below let out a hot-blooded roar.
"Fight! Fight! Fight!"
The orderly voices broke through the clouds and gave off a powerful aura. Even Molma's expression was a little moved.
Seeing that a great war was about to break out, Molma immediately laughed out loud. "The Elven Queen is exaggerating. It was only a minor friction between us, and it hasn't reached the stage where a war is necessary. In order to show our sincerity, we from the Lion Knights will retreat ten miles. When the men from Rufael's Sorcerers arrive, they will mediate between us."
Watching the Lion Knights gradually leave, the Elven Queen knew clearly that the Sky Eagle Empire was doing this on purpose.
However, the Elves were now too weak to start a war.
Especially now that she was poisoned and could only utilize one-tenth of her Saint-level power. If a war had really begun, the elven race might not be able to gain the upper hand.
No matter how furious the Elven Queen was, she could only suppress her anger.
However, no one noticed that Chris was looking in the direction where the Lion Knights had left. His eyes were cold, as if something was brewing in the depths of his heart.
No one knew better than him what the Sky Eagle Empire was planning.
The Empire's royal family had sent out two elite forces to suppress the chaos in the Heavenly Night Forest, but it was only a disguise.
Their real goal was to test the bottom line of the elves, or more precisely to probe the strength of the elves.
This was just a test. There would be a second and third time in the future.
If they tolerated them this time, they would become more arrogant. The next time, they would become even more unscrupulous.
However, their plan was destined to fail.
Chris would never allow anyone to disrupt the peace and harmony of the elves, including every single tree and blade of the elves. No one was allowed to touch them.
...
As night fell, the Sky Eagle Empire's Lion Knights were stationed five miles away from the Nightsky Forest.
"How's Dahl's injury?" Molma asked the priest.
Dahl was the deputy commander of the Lion Knights. During the day, he was severely injured by the Elven Queen.
"It's nothing serious, just a few broken bones. The Elven Queen didn't hit him too hard. Dahl wouldn't be alive otherwise. He only needs to rest for half a month before he can walk again."
Molma nodded and said, "Alright, I got it. Also, treat the seriously injured Griffins well. Every Griffon is a treasure of the Sky Eagle Empire. Nothing can go wrong."
"Understood, respected Sir Knight." The priest's tone was respectful.
"Alright, you can leave now."
Following that, Molma entered a military tent along with one of his subordinates.
After that, something strange happened.
