Octavian followed willingly as he was led down the hallway from the dining hall toward her bedroom.

Though he didn't resist, there was something hesitant to his motions.

She assumed it was shyness due to the public nature of their courtship. If it was that, it made her wonder if it would be his first time, which would be adorable, all blushes and unsure touches.

But she wasn't going to ask...even though the idea made her stomach flutter with nerves and anticipation.

It was better to simply assume he was than find out he wasn't, now. She'd be disappointed.

They arrived in the bedroom and she wasted no time in unfastening the front of her robe.

The silk robe which covered her freshly bathed skin parted easily, revealing her body to her fiancé's eager gaze.
