YULE'S POV

"Adelle...I just want to say sorry." Eva said to me.

What happened to Eva yesterday? She was pestering me this morning and I'm really sick of it. I got up early because she continuously knocked at my door. she was following me in the living room. she was always looking at me outside my room.

I thought I'd catch some fresh air here in the garden, It's a nice day to have tea outside but she appeared out of nowhere and apologized.

"I only take honest apologies," I coldly and take a sip at my tea. Just seeing her is ruining my mood. She lowers her gaze. When I looked at Kaniz, she merely shook her head. That is, she had no idea what was going on.

"Milady, why don't you go outside the residence and look around at Bournemouth town to view some places? Since you haven't regained your memories yet, it is the location you always want to go to, maybe if you see the surroundings your memories gradually return" Kaniz suggested, and I smiled back.

Perhaps this is the best option. to get out of this house We continued walking, leaving Eva alone with her head down. I return my gaze to her, and she is still staring down.

Just what is she up to?

"Kaniz, did something happen yesterday?" I asked Kaniz and she looked at me confused.

"You didn't know, Milady?" She asked while we continued to walk in the garden.

"The other servant said that the Marquess was furious when they returned home yesterday," she said without looking at me. "They didn't hear what they were talking about, but later, they saw Lady Eva crying in the living room."

But before I asked again. "Adelle~ Honey, do you want to come with me?" Melissa said while walking in my direction.

"Uhm..." I couldn't say no since I could tell in her eyes that she was desperate for me to come. When I return my gaze to Eva, she now looking at us. What occurred yesterday to cause her to act this way?

"I just want you to come with me because..." she whispered, caressing her belly. "Your sister is in here...I simply want to go shopping with you for baby goods."

My eyes widen out of surprise and immediately look at Kaniz and Eva. Melissa is pregnant!?

So maybe that's why she's acting so strangely? Perhaps she recalls what I said to her a week ago. But why was the marquess furious yesterday? I'd like to know what happened.

"Of course, I'd like to come," I said and looked at Kaniz. "Please, let's reschedule my plans for today" I gave Kaniz and Melissa a kind grin. I could see she was overjoyed when I accepted her offer, and I finally turned around and looked at Eva. Her eyes are emotionless, as I can see. well...

I turned my back on her after I gave her the 'I told you, don't get too cocky' look and smirk and I can see small wrinkles between her brows on her face.

"Let's go, Adelle," I was startled when Melissa held my hand as we walked out into the garden. The air was cool, and the scent of flowers was all around us. She started talking about baby goods she wanted to purchase - clothes, toys, a crib. I stared at her, feeling a bit confused. It was a lot to take in. I wasn't sure what to make of it all. I just listened, trying to understand her excitement

What exactly is this? She didn't even invite Eva to join us? It appears like the table has been abruptly turned. I'm interested in what happened yesterday and why Marquess is so furious.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Eva was only 7 years old when she entered the noble house of Larmaleilles. her mother Melissa used to work at a bawdy house to serve pleasure to the customers. Melissa was indeed a beauty that could attract hundreds of men.

She serves a group of men one day and forgets to sip neem tea in the morning. Neem is a spermicidal plant that may also be used as a contraceptive. Melissa continues to work at the bawdy house, oblivious to the fact that she has already conceived Eva until her baby bump is obvious. since she serves different men, she doesn't know who's the father.

The owner of the bawdy house is enraged but considerate enough to house Melissa while she's pregnant. she gave birth and worked at the bawdy house while being a good mother to Eva.

Eva began to ask questions as she grew older. She began to wonder who her father was and why she lived differently from the other kids. Melissa is unable to satisfy Eva's inquisitiveness. Eva was envious of the other aristocratic children who had a family and were born with the golden spoon in their mouths.

Eva began calling all of Melissa's customers 'Father' in order to get away with the bawdy house. Some of them shove her away, while others bring her presents. Eva craved attention and love from someone she referred to as "father" as she grew older.

Marquess Roman of the aristocratic house of Larmaleilles, one night. He goes to the bawdy house to satisfy his love for his late wife, Rina. The Marquess is intoxicated and is served by Melissa. Eva then began calling her father, which warmed the Marquess' heart. He feels sorry for little Eva and recalls Adelle.

Until one day, Melissa received an offer from the Marquess. He will take the two into his home, shelter them, and provide for their necessities on the condition that they act as a family to Adelle and love her as if she were a genuine daughter and sister. Melissa agreed since she wanted to get away from this filthy place, which made Eva pleased.

Melissa and Eva began visiting the Larmaleilles' house at that time; the Marquess advised them to do so initially since Adelle would be surprised if they got married so soon. Eva began to feel envious when she first saw Adelle at their home; she furrowed her brow while watching Adelle, who was running around the house in a lovely dress with a servant by her side.

Marquess continually brings up Adelle in front of them, and when Eva understands that she is only in the home because of Adelle, she begins to divert Marquess' focus away from Adelle by inventing lies. Her ambitions begin to increase, as does her desire to take everything away from Adelle. She always pushes Adelle away when she comes to say 'Hi'. speaking negative things about her, and when someone arrived, Eva pretended to be a victim. reversing the situation between her and Adelle

When Melissa and the Marquess married, Melissa began to admire Adelle in front of the Marquess, saying that she was making him happy, but Eva refused to accept Adelle. She informed her mother that Adelle was constantly saying negative things about her, which made Melissa upset, and that whenever Adelle came to see Melissa, hugged her because she was excited. Melissa is always pushing her away.

Eva is working hard to get Marquess' attention and widens the gap between him and Adelle. Her objective is to take everything from Adelle, and she has the support of the noble women and the servants.

Melissa disciplines Kaniz when Eva comes to her sobbing and claims that Adelle and her servant are gossiping about her behind her back. Kaniz accepts the punishment since she can't punish Adelle, and Adelle believes Melissa is a terrible lady who punishes Kaniz for taking care of her.

Eva has all it takes to pull Adelle down and make her feel unwanted from then on. The Marquess favors her more, and the servants, except Kaniz, are siding with her.

But now, It looks like the table turns the other way around because of Yule.

As watching her mother and Adelle walk in the garden while holding hands, her face frowns as she curses Adelle in her mind. but then she remembers what Marquess and Melissa said to her last night.

{"I don't have a thief daughter..."}

{"...But if you do it again, I might as well."}

'I need them to return to my side,' she thought to herself, tightening her fist as she watched Adelle and her mother happily walk away.
