Capítulo 27: This Mess

Carefully, Axel took a deep breath, calming his mind. He knew that he had to stay alert. This strong smell can be a sign of greater danger. He gripped his dagger tighter, making sure that he was ready for whatever might emerge from the darkness.

Slowly, Axel stepped into the hallway that was emitting a strong smell. Every step he took felt heavy because of the increasing tension. The passage got narrower and the stench got stronger. The faint light from the dungeon crystal could barely penetrate the darkness in front of him.

Axel continued walking, his eyes and ears remaining alert. He couldn't shake the feeling that something dangerous was waiting at the end of this passage. This strong smell was not a good sign, but he had to find out what was causing this strangeness on the floor.

Axel stopped suddenly when his vision was covered by a terrible sight: piles of corpses of monsters. The pungent smell grew stronger, and he realized that it was coming from this pile. He felt sick at the sight before him, but he knew that he couldn't stop now.

"Damn... what's going on here?" he muttered, trying to understand the situation. These corpses appeared to be from various types of monsters, some of which were quite large and strong. There were traces of battle all around, the scars and tears on their bodies showed that they had been brutally attacked.

Axel tried to get rid of his fear and disgust, stepping closer to examine the corpses. He saw large bite marks and deep scratches on some of the bodies. "What kind of creature could do this?" he thought with worry.

Suddenly, Axel heard a rustling sound from inside the pile of corpses. He immediately raised his sword, preparing to face any threat that might appear. His heart raced as he looked around warily.

From behind the pile of corpses, something moved slowly. Axel stared at the large figure emerging from behind the pile of corpses with great vigilance. The creature was something he had never seen before, not even in his worst nightmares. The monster stood twice the height of an ordinary human, with a muscular and stocky body. His skin was a dark gray color, almost resembling stone, giving the impression that his body was extremely hard and difficult to penetrate. Axel took a few steps back, trying to assess the situation. Axel thought to himself, "This is absolutely impossible. Level 22... Even though I already feel strong enough, facing a Gorgolith of this level is suicide. The red color in the name only emphasizes how dangerous this creature is. Gorgolith, monster hybrid with extraordinary power. Facing it head-on is not an option."

Axel felt tremendous pressure. Every second that passes adds to the tension. He had to think quickly and make the right decision. However, this could also be an opportunity for Axel.

He moved carefully, using every gap and shadow to hide himself from the Gorgolith's sight. Every step felt like an escape from death, and he felt adrenaline pumping strongly through his body. "I have to move quickly and carefully. Don't get caught," he thought, hoping to find a safe way to the next floor.

Axel realized that strength alone was not enough to survive in this situation. Ingenuity and the ability to exploit the surrounding environment are key to surviving hybrid monsters like the Gorgolith. The challenges ahead of him are still many, but one thing is certain, he will not give up without a smart fight.
