Capítulo 31: Stuck In A Sense Of Despair

"Hey!! Focus the attack on one of its heads!" shouted a red-haired man wearing high-level armor. In his right hand was a large sword, while his left hand held a shield that was almost as tall as himself.

Currently, they are fighting a monster on the 60th floor. The monster is a three-headed dog known as 'Cerberus'. The huge creature let out terrifying roars from its three heads, each emitting a different attack: one head spat fire, another bit with sharp teeth, and the third head emitted dangerous winds.

The red-haired man led the attack decisively, giving instructions to his team to concentrate their attacks on one head. Their coordinated attacks began to show results, although every counterattack from Cerberus was deadly.

"TAUNT!!!" shouted the red-haired man in a booming voice. This skill immediately attracted Cerberus' attention, making the monster's three heads focus on it. Kael, the leader of the 'Rising Phoenix' guild, swiftly raised his shield to withstand the brutal attacks from Cerberus, protecting his team from immediate danger.

"ALICIA!!" Kael shouted, giving orders in the chaotic situation.

Instantly, the figure of a silver-haired girl wearing light armor, holding a katana in her right hand, shot quickly towards Cerberus' blind spot. Alicia, with extraordinary agility, moved as fast as the wind, dodging the attacks from the monster heads.

In an instant, Alicia reached the Cerberus' blind spot and with one precise slash, she attacked the weak spot on the neck of the monster's right head. The attack made Cerberus' right head stagger back, letting out a thunderous roar of pain.

"Good job, Alicia!" Kael shouted, while continuing to attract Cerberus' attention with the 'Taunt' skill. "Everyone, attack now!

Cerberus, although powerful, could not defend against such a coordinated attack. The right head eventually fell, and the team immediately switched to the left head, following Kael's instructions and taking advantage of Alicia's attacks as well as support from the rest of the party.

"ALICIA!! Dodge!!" Kael shouted in a voice full of worry when he saw that the effect of his 'Taunt' skill had run out. One of the Cerberus heads began to notice the movements of Alicia, the silver-haired girl who had just attacked with great precision.

Alicia, who had already gotten within range of the attack, realized that she didn't have enough time to dodge the torrent of flames that the monster's head was about to emit. Seconds that felt like hours passed as flames began to form in the mouth of the Cerberus head, ready to devour Alicia.

Suddenly, a large spiky icicle hit one of Cerberus' heads, making the monster stop using its flame blast. The ice stabbed hard, making Cerberus' head shake violently.

"You guys, what if I wasn't here?" said a man in a firm tone. He was a 'Mage' in long flowing robes, holding a crystal-tipped staff that glowed blue. The man stepped forward, his magical aura flowing strongly around him.

"Thank you, Erwin," Kael said, nodding to the Mage. "You came just in time."

Erwin only nodded briefly before raising his staff again, preparing to launch the next attack. "We have to hurry before this monster recovers," he said while focusing his magic energy.

"Lily use a buff on Alicia!" Kael ordered the small girl who had the profession of being a 'Healer'.

"Alright." The petite girl began to chant several spells and a few moments later Alicia received a buff increasing speed, strength and also increasing criticality.

"Lily, apply buffs to Alicia!" Kael ordered the petite girl who had the profession of 'Healer'.

"Okay," said the petite girl in a calm voice. He started chanting several spells with incredible speed and precision. Magical air flowed around her, and a few moments later, Alicia received a buff increasing speed, strength, and also increasing criticality.

A magical aura surrounded Alicia, making her feel much stronger and faster. With new strength flowing through her, Alicia nodded towards the petite girl with a grateful smile. "Thank you, Lily."

Lily, the petite witch, smiled faintly and nodded again. "Don't waste this buff. Attack with everything you have."

Alicia, now filled with new energy, prepares to launch the final attack. Kael saw their condition and gave the team quick directions. "Okay, with the buff from Lily, we should be able to take down both Cerberus heads quickly. Alicia, take advantage of that buff to deliver a decisive blow."

Kael raised his shield and sword again, ready to attract Cerberus' attention with 'Taunt' once again. "Everyone, prepare for a combined attack. Erwin, support us with your magic!"

Erwin nodded, focusing his staff to attack with ice magic again, freezing Cerberus' legs to reduce his mobility. "Ready. Ice attacks will slow it down."

With perfect coordination, they launched their attack. Kael attracted Cerberus' attention with 'Taunt', making the monster focus on him. Erwin launched an ice attack, freezing Cerberus' legs and making it difficult for him to move.

Alicia, with speed and strength enhanced by Lily's buff, jumped into the air and slashed at the head with her katana, dealing a deadly critical hit.

Their attack was successful. Cerberus' two heads staggered backwards, losing his balance and finally falling to the ground. The monster's final roar echoed throughout the room before it finally fell silent again. Cerberus falls, no longer a threat.

The 'Rising Phoenix' party stood up breathless but satisfied with their victory. Kael breathed a sigh of relief and patted Alicia on the shoulder. "Good job, everyone. We did it."

Lily approached Alicia, smiling happily at the successful effect of her buff. "Very good, Alicia. You are great."

Alicia smiled and nodded, feeling grateful for Lily's help. "Thank you, Lily. Your buff really helps."

Erwin, with a faint smile, added, "We work well together. However, this is not over yet. We still have to continue our journey to the next floor."

The walls of the dungeon began to shake violently, causing spiky stone shards to rain down into the surrounding space. The thunderous sound echoed throughout the corridor, creating a frightening atmosphere among the adventurers. The members of the 'Rising Phoenix' guild looked at each other with anxious and fearful expressions on their faces.

"What happened?!" shouted one of the guild members, his voice almost drowned out by the increasingly powerful roar of the earthquake.

Kael, the leader of the expedition, stood tall in their midst, his eyes flashing with courage and firmness. "Stay calm!" he cried, his voice echoing through the chaos.

Kael paid close attention to his surroundings, trying to understand the cause of the intense shaking that rocked the dungeon. Amidst the roar and chaos, he tried to calm himself enough to think clearly.

"There's no way this is just an ordinary shaking," he muttered softly, his voice almost drowned out by the increasingly powerful roar of the earthquake. "There's something that's making this dungeon shake like this. Perhaps there's an unexpected magical power or danger lurking within the depths of this dungeon."

He looked at his members trying to protect each other amidst the chaos, and the sense of responsibility as a leader grew stronger in his heart. "We must remain alert and ready to face all possibilities!" His words were full of confidence, even though in his heart he was also worried about their fate in this dungeon that was being hit by an earthquake.

Kael and the 'Rising Phoenix' guild members were shocked to see a giant monster that appeared above the ceiling of the 60th floor of the dungeon. With evil eyes and a large, terrifying body, the monster inspires fear among adventurers.

"W-what is that…" Their faces were pale, not only from fear, but also from the overwhelming sense of resignation. They realized that they were in the presence of something far more powerful than anything they had ever faced before. A sense of despair began to creep into their minds, and the desire to fight or flee seemed futile in the face of the terrifying monster's tenacity.

Kael looked around and felt the same wave of despair wash over his members. He understood that this situation was far from ideal, but he was also aware that they couldn't just give up.

In a voice that almost sounded fragile, Kael spoke to his members, "Maybe we can't beat him." His voice was filled with a sense of resignation, but within that despair, there was also the courage to accept his inevitable fate.

The 'Rising Phoenix' guild members looked at each other, accepting this bitter reality. They realized that they might not be able to survive this fight. However, even though it feels bitter, there is togetherness between them, unity in facing the end that they may face together.
