Ashton left room in a pretty shocked state. He didn't believe me at first, laughing at my words while shaking his head. But after I went silent, his expression changed. He suddenly knew that I wasn't kidding.

I saw the look of disbelief in his eyes and the disappointment settling deeply. If Ashton also found this a curse, how the hell am I supposed to live knowing that there was no way I and Bale could ever be together?

Even if I already rejected him, I couldn't stop the thoughts and tiny hopes that maybe one day, we could figure something out. Maybe one day, I could stand boldly in front of father and fight for my life.

But if everyone around me saw it as impossible, and couldn't accept it, does it really mean it was actually a curse? The thing between I and Bale... was it not supposed to happen? Then how about our feelings? Our lives? Our bond?

Can I really let him go?

What if he moves on?

What if he forgets me?
