Ren sat back in his office chair, staring at the message from Marshal Kade with a puzzled expression. It was still early evening, and he'd planned to stay late working on his projects.

That was until he got the unexpected message.

"Hi. Please be ready at 10 in the morning. I need to take you somewhere."

Ren, "..."

He had no idea what to make of it. Neither did the small cub sitting on his desk, who glanced at the communicator before giving Ren a skeptical look. The tiny creature squinted at him, clearly suspicious.

'Ren, what did you do behind my back?'

Ren looked at the narrowed blue slits. He could not resist the urge to flick the fluffy head.

'What do you think I could have done with Kade?' Ren retorted.

However, his actions faltered for a brief second before his fingers moved on the soft fur.

'So, why is that devil looking for you? It should not be the time yet ...'
