Ren could feel his system shouting something...warnings, perhaps, but he couldn't make out the words
It felt as if even his system wanted to abandon him, to cast him aside as a lost cause. A harbinger of bad luck.
He recalled how Zenith had pampered Terim and how Mira was always supportive of her stubborn son.
'Don't. Don't laugh like that, Ren. You are scaring me,' the little god pleaded, its voice trembling with fear.
Yet Ren's ears remained deaf to its plea. His mind was getting consumed by a sinister thought.
If I were a Polaris and not a dirty-blooded Vitakis, would I be living a happy life? Would my two mothers pamper me just as much as they did Terim, or would I still be abandoned?
'Ren! Breathe properly!' the little god's voice tried to break through his spiraling thoughts but failed miserably.
Would I get a chance to impress them, or would I be thrown to my grandparents, just like in my last life?

Kuroitsuki Even when Ren was angry and breaking down, his thoughts were never to hurt Terim. That was why even when Terim was wrapped in the vines there was not a single scratch on him. The vines were following Ren's order to keep the boy away and also not to hurt him...
Honestly speaking, If it were me in Ren's place... I might have lashed out at Terim and then regret it later...
