Capítulo 245: Finally Awake

Ren gagged, his body seizing with revulsion. His vision blurred as the air suddenly felt too thick to breathe. A bitter vile rose to his tight throat but it did not make it to his mouth.

His lungs burned, gasping desperately for the thin oxygen in the air. Panic clawed at his chest, threatening to overwhelm him when, out of nowhere, a steady stream of warmth surged through him, calming the frantic beating of his heart.

The horrifying scene in the mansion faded, and Ren blinked, his breath coming in shallow gasps. It took him a moment to realize he was no longer standing in that blood-soaked nightmare. 

The rays of light entered his vision as his silvery eyelashes blinked repeatedly. The fresh scent of rain filled his lungs and Ren breathed almost greedily in the intoxicating scent.

He was back in the room, safe. But someone was holding him. He could feel the gentle grip of their arms around him, a slightly cold hand patting his back.
