"Come on! That is our cue," Drake said and walked to the altar, almost dragging Hope after him.

She was panting as they reached the altar. Drake and Terix nodded at each other, smiling. When he turned to her and took both of her hands in his, lord Springwood smirked, seeing her big brown eyes staring at him in disbelief.

Drake felt his heart pumping as eager as he was. He had plotted this moment since before they had left Springwood Castle. That was why he wanted this dress that Hope was now wearing and the shoes that remained in the chest. The reminder that she would be marrying in her slippers made his smirk widen.

The people in the room were whispering, but Drake's gaze on her was meant to catch her attention and make her focus only on him. When the Grand Auspex began to speak, they continued to look at each other.
