“Okay.”
Flynn nodded. “And I should call Tanya.”
“Okay.” Caspian grinned at him.

For the first time, Caspian got to hold Ginger. Flynn handed her over and prepared a bottle before walking out into the living room.
Caspian heard him talk. He could have made out the words if he’d strained to hear, but he focused on Ginger instead. She was so small.
Before she’d consumed the entire bottle, she fell asleep and Caspian frowned. It was important she ate. He tried to get her to take it again, but she wasn’t interested.
“Okay.”
He jumped at Flynn’s voice as he walked into the kitchen with panic shining in his eyes.
“What happened?”
