"Satou~ Hurry up~!" A banging sound was heard as Satou glanced towards his bedroom door.
"Korone, banging doesn't really do anything to make this faster." Fubuki's voice came from the other side of the door.
"But Fubuki, he's taking too long!" The brown doggo whined back.
Sighing, Satou finished wearing his clothes, before looking at his mirror, going through the mental checklist. White shirt with purple lining and popped-out collar, check. Black pants and knee-high boots, check. Black yukata with purple waves, check. Purple obi, check. Last but not least, the yellow star pin attached to his obi. Check.
"If I'm forgetting anything, I'll just use a gap and grab it later." Walking to his bedroom door, he opened it, revealing a slightly red-faced Fubuki and a pouting Korone.
"Is this why you took so long?" Korone stared, walking around him. "You normally throw on a hoodie with cargo pants."
"I've decided that since I'm going to be going to be heading to CoverCorp more often, I need to look more decent." Shrugging his shoulders, Satou began walking to the staircase leading downstairs. "This will most likely be my normal outerwear for now."
As he headed downstairs, Satou began recalling how he had arrived in this world to begin with. It was so oddly similar to his old world, the one he lived in before he got hit by a brown owl, killing him as he fell backward and smashed his head into the concrete pavement. The moment he woke up in the body of a yellow-haired kitsune with 9 tails and accidentally discovered his powers over gaps at a supermarket, he realized that this world was completely different from his. He was further in the past, being in 2019 compared to 2025. Humans with animal features were common as well, and so was the usage of magic and the supernatural. Researching helped him adapt, but it was when he reached the part where Hitler tried to take over, only for a dragon to kill him did he stopped trying to understand.
"Mio, Okayu, we are heading out now!" Calling out to the other 2 members who were talking in the living room, Satou opened another gap straight to CoverCorp, before walking in, followed by his 2 companions.
"Alright, see you guys at dinner time!" Waving goodbye, both sides exchanged farewells before Satou, Korone, and Fubuki fully exited the gap, finding themselves in front of CoverCorp.
Owned by one of his best friends, Motoaki Tanigo, his dream was to have an idol group similar to AKB 48. He invested, hired, and surrounded himself with good people. The only problems however were the talents being not very...
Seiso.
They all joked about Yagoo having his dreams crushed, and Satou often listened to his tears as they drank together, but deep down Satou knew that he would never trade Hololive for a thing. He loved the talents too much to do so. Even with his wife's nagging.
"I'm going to go find MikoMiko! Bye bye!" Immediately, Korone dashed into the building, a sound of crashing heard from within.
"There she goes." Sighing, Satou rubbed the bridge of his nose, his tails flicking back and forth. "You going too, Fubuki?"
"U-uh, yeah!" Fiddling with her fingers for a bit, she quickly approached Satou before holding her arms wide open. "Hug?"
"Hug." Agreeing to the action, Satou pulled her close to him. The smell of shampoo assaulted his nose for a second before his ears quickly caught the sound of... sniffing?
Looking down, he noticed the Arctic fox blissfully sighing into his chest, before pulling herself away from him, looking satisfied. "Bye Satou!"
Running into the building, there was the sound of another crash, before the building rattled. Amused, Satou adjusted his yukata, before walking inside. He quickly found a woman sprawled out on the floor, papers flying everywhere around her. Approaching the woman, he picked up the glasses on the floor as the dark blue-haired girl groaned, getting up slightly.
"I need a raise..." Clutching her head, the woman was frowning.
Offering a hand, Satou pulled the girl up before handing the glasses back to her owner. "Rough day so far, A-chan?"
"Yeah... It's not fair Satou~" Whining, A-chan quickly zipped around Satou before grabbing as many of his tails as possible and wrapping herself with them. "Ah~ Fluffy bliss."
Holding his hand out, a gap appeared above it, before every single paper was now in his hands, neatly stacked. "I don't think you can escape overtime for a while. Where is Nodoka?"
"Yagoo wanted to talk to her about something. I'm not sure what." Gently unraveling herself from fluff heaven, she grabbed the stack of paper in Satou's hand before looking at him. "Were you here just to drop off Korone-san and Fubuki-san?"
Shaking his head, the two began walking towards the elevator in the lobby. "No, Tanigo-san wanted to talk to me."
"Nodoka should be done by now, so if you see her, can you send her to me?" A-chan and Satou got into the elevator. The girl pressed the button with the number 2, but Satou pressed the button to 20. "We need to finish the paperwork by 11 pm today.
"Sure, I'll gap her to you."
"Thanks, Satou! You are a lifesaver today."
As the elevator rose slowly, the awkward silence resounded within the metal walls.
"I'll also ask Tanigo-san to add music to the elevator later."
"As expected of Satou."
The elevator dinged as the doors opened. Stepping off, A-chan waved to Satou, who waved back as the elevator doors closed once more. As the elevator rose, it stopped once more at floor 5. As the doors opened, Satou found himself looking down towards a purple-haired maid with light-blue streaks who began immediately trembling upon looking up towards the yellow-haired kitsune.
"A-ah! S-Satou-sama! I-I did not know y-you were going to be here today!"
Stepping into the elevator, the two began making small talk.
"Hey, Aqua. I'm just here to talk to Tanigo-san."
"Y-Yagoo-sama? What f-for?"
"I don't know yet, I was hoping to find out."
"I-I see..."
"Shy as usual, huh?"
"I-I'm improving! I can t-talk to people for 30 seconds now!"
"Is that so? Good job!"
Patting the onion's head, Satou swiftly pulled out a Cola-flavored lollipop from his sleeve before handing it to Aqua, who hesitantly took it before unwrapping and popping the lollipop into her mouth. Taking the wrapper and tossing it into a gap above a trashcan nearby, the elevator doors began closing once more, before a golden axe immediately smashed through the gap between the doors, embedding itself next to Satou's head.
""!""
Immediately, Satou began shivering while Aqua went pale, the two looking at each other in fear before a hand wrenched the once again closing elevator doors. The metal groaned under the strain before they were forced open as a pair of blue eyes looked at the shaking duo, who were now hugging each other close in fear. Pushing her light-blue-haired ponytail to the side slightly, she grabbed the golden axe's handle, which engrained upon was a blue comet.
"Hi... Honey."
