Months have passed and Al will come to the premiere of <Sixth Sense> that will be held in Village Theatre. After some discussion, Universal agree to screen the film on July 29th and the premiere was a day before.
The <Star Wars> crazed storm has subsided although at least the theatre attendance was still 30-40% filled.
Another blockbuster movie that comes in this summer is <Superman III> but as Al predicted or knew before, it's a disaster.
Not only repeated jokes that were not funny anymore, bad special effects, and bad plot with no connection from the prequel plus super-villain that look more like a joke.
Fortunately, the film was carried by Chris Reeves. This guy is a very good actor who started his way in the theatre but too bad he meets an awful script.
So Al can relax his vigilance for a while because at least there were no notable films in late July-August of 1983.
--------
Village Theatre, the day of the premiere.
Al walked through the red carpet with his partner Drew Barrymore. He asked her to accompany him to the premiere and luckily, the shooting of her new film is having a break for a week.
<Firestarter> is the name of her new films, adapted from Stephen King's novel, the famous horror novelist.
Because he was dissatisfied with Stanley Kubrick for making <The Shining> not as he wanted to, he decided to write the script himself.
He forgets how the film is but he remembers that this film received a bad response.
Right now, Drew was holding her big brother's hand and walking through the red carpet.
He also received numerous interviews from every reporter, well technically he is the most famous and highlighted person in this film.
Youngest screenwriter, book author, box office lucky charm. Not only that, in the last Golden Globe Awards both of them kinda starting fire in that dull awards.
Some reporters from the entertainment industries interview some party committee responsible for those awards.
When one of the reporters praise the committee's idea for making a stand-up comedy duo by Al and Drew, the committee leader immediately denied that this was his idea.
"No no no, it's not what we have planned before. We only told them to read everything on the paper and made a small and cute joke. But they bombed it. A success explosion." And he even praised their intelligence.
This made a few reporters uproar and made headlines in many newspapers.
Al and Drew not only good actors but also have a talent for comedies. Their smart and intelligent banter also surprised many people.
Seeing the dynamic duo walking on the red carpet, the fans who come here far away to see them start screaming.
Al and Drew are surprised by their enthusiasm.
"Good evening Alphonse, Drew, I'm from New York Times, How do you feel after seeing your fans?"
"I'm surprised, I never knew that our fans could be this excited! I'm very thankful for their support and I hope they will like this movie I starred in." He said, then wave his hand to the fans crowd.
Saw their idol wave a hand to them, they become wilder than before and some securities called another backup to contain them.
Al also saw a familiar face of Leslie and blow a kiss in her direction, this made Leslie's face redden but she was pushed by other fans who fight for Al's air kiss.
"So Al and Drew, both of you starred in horror movies after your last film, Is that will make your reputation becomes bad in your fans eyes? And also for Al, what is your box office prediction of these movies will be?"
"No, this film won't leave a bad impression on them, same as Drew, she said to me that a good actress needs to enrich their experience to play different roles. As for box office, I won't know until the first-week result but I hope that it will be as good as <E.T.>"
The securities are calling them and tell that the premiere will begin soon.
He meets the <Sixth Sense> crews and introduce them to Drew.
After some greetings, they meet with their Godfather, well technically both of them truly becomes siblings, God siblings exact words.
"Al, you did another great job, now I'm going to work harder or else, I will be defeated by a brat."
Al shrugged, "Make sure you are ready old man, your hair will be whiter than before." Then both of them laughing at each other.
They enter the cinema and watch some for movie advertisement before the film begin.
"Al, I'm scared, I don't really like horror movies," Drew said and hold Al's arm tightly.
"Don't worry, it's not exactly a horror movie Drewe."
"What do you mean Al?"
"Just wait and see." Al smiled.
The cinema's light went out and the screen started to show some pictures.
First is the Universal Film logo and then the first time the Amblin logo is shown. Steven already told him that he will use his image riding a bicycle with ET flying in the moonlight.
Then, his film studio logo also shown up. The logo of flame with the word art of Surtr's body just like in the Fate/Grand Order game.
The audience is amazed at the beauty of Al's drawing, the Muspelheim Films logo.
Then the movie finally starts with Dr. Malcolm played by Tom came home with his wife, Anna played by Sharon Stone.
Then someone sneaks into his room after he realized that the man who barged in is bringing a gun, he tries to calm this person until he knows that this person is his old patient, Vincent.
After uttering a lot of random words, he screamed at him for not understand and unable to save him.
Then he shot Dr. Malcolm and also shot himself. His wife runs into him while crying and tries to press the wound to stop blood loss.
Unlike in his previous life, Malcolm's body was only shown a little to make the audience believed that Malcolm survived the shot.
The audience was confused, why at the beginning of the film, the main lead is already shot to death? Is this a flashback? But their question finally answered, Dr. Malcolm was fine and seems to be healed from his injuries.
Then the story continues, a few months later Dr. Malcolm checking a profile of a kid name Cole who has the same symptoms as that kid, he told himself this.
The audience also sees the relationship with his wife worsen and seems to ignore him after that incident.
So Malcolm wants to help this kid who got the same symptoms as his patient before and also to show his wife that he can cure this kid.
Dr. Malcolm comes to see and talk to Cole's mother, played by Sigourney Weaver.
After some time, finally, Cole who played by Al opened up with Malcolm and tells him what is his problem is.
Finally, the most famous phrase that becomes classic in the future came.
"I see dead people," Cole whispered.
The audience feels cold air behind their neck and also felt scared after Al saying that. Al really great at playing people's emotion thought some of the famous film critics and audiences.
They were again amazed by their performance. How the rivalry play between newcomer Tom Hanks and Alphonse Brandt made the audience thinks that these two guys are not newcomers at all.
The story continues, Malcolm finally believes what Cole said by listening to an audiotape from his interview with Vincent, and heard of a voice asking for help in Spanish.
Then Malcolm suggests Cole talk with them and help them to finish their business.
Both of them finally help a ghost girl to finish her business and prevent her sister to share the same fate as her and protect her from their step-mother.
Cole finally accepts his gift and learn to live with the ghosts he sees. Finally, Dr. Malcolm finishes his job and saying farewell to Cole. He really can't wait to share the stories with his wife.
Then Cole suggests to Malcolm to try to speak with Anna when she was asleep. Malcolm just shrugged and accept his suggestion, he thinks that Cole wants to cheer him up.
When Cole and his mother in the car, Cole finally tells his mother his secret and said a girl has died while she was riding a bicycle and she stands beside their car.
When the camera shoots the cyclist girl covered in blood, the audience once again spooked by this film, too much surprise appear in this film.
He begins to tell the secrets that only his grandmother and mother know.
Finally, his mother was convinced by him and both of them hug and once more, Al and Sigourney made the audience's heart melted with this warm scene.
Dr. Malcolm came back to his house and see his wife sleeping while watching their marriage videotapes.
The audience is mad and said from their heart, 'Damn woman, you still love him but why still giving him a cold shoulder!'
But their complaint will soon break with the truth that will be shown in the next scene.
Malcolm tries Cole's suggestion by talking to her while she was asleep. After sweet and warm words, he reaches to his wife's hand and sees something fell from her hands.
Then Malcolm saw that the fallen object is the wedding ring. He sees his wife still wearing those rings, but he didn't.
Then finally he realized something as well as the audience of the premiere of <The Sixth Sense> and everything click.
Now on-screen was showed every of his interaction with everyone and realize that they ignore him.
Even before Cole trusts him, he seemed scared of Malcolm.
Then he remembers Cole said, "The dead didn't know they're dead and see everything they want to see."
He sees a big bloody stain on his shirt, courtesy of Vincent's bullet. As he freaks out, the room grows chilly, and Anna's breath fogs up.
Now, Anna giving him the cold shoulder makes way more sense. She hasn't been ignoring Malcolm — he's been dead since the beginning of the film!
The audience was like 'W T F!?!?!?'
How can they ignore this and not realize it from start? Some people began to recall every scene they have seen and some people plan to rewatch this film again the next day and see all the clues.
Malcolm sees his wife shivering and starts to calm down. He sits beside his wife again and said "You were never second. Ever. I love you."
Giving everyone an aching feeling who see this scene, they knew that Malcolm will go to the afterlife and leave her.
Anna seems to receive the message, Malcolm faded to the afterlife and the ending screen is rolling up.
