The name suddenly made the old man's mood turn sour. He wasn't only unhappy but it seemed displeasure consumed him pretty well. 

At the same time, it was a shock for Cyrus. He didn't expect that the current King was the son of the concubine. How was that possible? And when the Crown Prince was already present, how come the throne landed up in the hands of the concubine's son? 

There were dozens of doubts raised, but he still managed to calm himself down and waited for the old man to explain. 

"So, Prince Derek and...Prince Almen were half-siblings." Cyrus asked, and the old man nodded his head. "They were. But they weren't close either. Competition always struck between them like any other precious war that happened."
