Isla twisted her hands together while the two spoke and reached up to fix her mess of hair. Braid or not, the wind had been relentless and her hair had retaliated by wrestling from her braid and curling all around her head. She was sure she was a complete mess.

She noticed the young woman watching her fix appearance and gave her a small smile. The girl responded in kind, her full lips curling up at the ends. She was quite pretty, with caramel skin and straight dark hair that framed elegant features. Her lavender eyes stood out in stark contrast to her dark coloring, but the effect was mesmerizing. Isla was surprised to see that the girl wore trousers and a shirt, like a man. Heavy boots covered her feet and she had knives attached to her belt.

Was this the culture of the the wolves?

The women dressed like barbarians?

Isla was ready to introduce herself when Derulo walked up to the young girl and greeted her with a grin and a friendly hug.
