Skai's smile lit up her eyes as she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, revealing the mark on her neck. Damien's gaze locked onto it, his eyes narrowing with possessiveness and concern. 

Seeing her mark, he exclaimed, "Skai!"

Getting up from Jared, Damien rushed towards her with an urgency that belied his large frame. 

Before Skai could react, Damien swept her into a tight embrace, holding her close as if he'd never let her go. 

Jared, understanding the depth of Damien's feelings, restrained himself from intervening, remembering the anguish he'd felt when he thought Skai was in danger.

Lilith cleared her throat, intruding into the tender moment. "Ahem, shall we proceed?"

Pulling from the hug, Damien turned to Lilith. "Umm…?"

Lilith's smile broadened. "I am Lady Northern Dismay, lady of the mansion. You may call me Lilith," she introduced. 

"I am Damien."
