CHAPTER 132

Raphael's breathing hitched… he couldn't tear his gaze away from Skai.

"Damien?" Davion's confused voice reached him.

"I… umm myself with these endless social gatherings..." Raphael trailed off, his face contorted in a frown and relaxing as his gaze drifted back to Skai. 

A slow, seductive smile spread across his face, sending a jolt of electricity through the room. 

He paused dramatically, letting the weight of his next words hang heavy in the air.

"But perhaps," he continued, "the prospect of a delightful breakfast companion might make the ordeal a little more bearable."

Davion cleared his throat, attempting to regain Damien's attention. 

Whatever he was facing, Davion knew Damien had been distracted again like one of those days when he readily flirted rather than work. 

"Mr. Raphael," he began urgently. Now wasn't the time for games, "the call – they are asking…"
