Capítulo 31: Feeling at Home

Christina's gaze fell upon him, his expression pulling at her heartstrings. His need for companionship was palpable, reminding her of the times when she was ill and longed for someone to care for her. Unable to resist, she found herself agreeing to his silent plea.

A faint smile graced Reylan's lips and he made room for her. Blaze, watching the scene unfold, shook his head and smiled. He was happy for his brother, who had waited for this moment for almost a century. Despite knowing that their grandfather might go haywire, who feared that Reylan might reveal too much to Christina and complicate things, he still chose not to interfere. 

"I'll leave him in your care," Blaze announced, drawing the couple's attention. Christina nodded, advising him to rest as the wedding had been equally exhausting for him. As Blaze exited the room, Reylan's smile widened for they were left alone. But it quickly changed to a grimace of pain when Christina turned to face him.
