After finishing his meal and putting down his chopsticks, Michael Marshall glared coldly at Bella Thompson.

"Daniel almost had a car accident today, did you know that?"

Bella's eyes widened in surprise as she shook her head at Michael, "I didn't know."

Bella's elation was instantly extinguished by Michael's questioning; it was as if a pail of cold water had been dumped on her head, chilling her to the bone.

Michael's words cut like a keen blade straight into Bella's heart. His face was cold and ruthless. "Do you know if your brother knew about it?"

Bella shook her head again, her eyes lacklustre, "I'm not sure, but I can call him in front of you."

Michael was silent, his narrowed eyes watching Bella intently.

Bella didn't avoid Michael's scrutinizing gaze, she dialed her brother's number and put the call on speaker.

"Sis, why are you calling me so late? Is there something you need?"
