Capítulo 7: wand
They have gone to almost all shops and arrived at ollivanders finally. To be honest Kevin really wanted to find a particular he hid in Hogwarts. He made a wand that is very powerful in the simulated life. He made it from the bones of a dragon and has a Phoenix feather core.
He engraved many runes on it turning it into a powerful wand. He want to see whether the wand is still there in Hogwarts or did Dumbledore do something again? If he did he swear he will give this old scheming bastard a hard lesson by messing up all his plans. Destroying the portraits so he can't moniter Hogwarts anymore.
He is going to make the old man beg for him to stop. Kevin decided it's the best coursebod action for now to get a wand. As they entered the shop, ollivander babbled about McGonagall's wand and then said the wand chooses ward which caused Kevin's displeasure. These sticks may have some partial consciousness but they're merely sticks to cast magic. It's the wizard that will be compatible with the wand due to his personality and attributes and the wand is made for him not the other way around.
Moreover after a certain level wand is merely an auxiliary tool for reducing mana consumption and increasing control. Even without those with great mana control can achieve these effects it's just some dark arts are dangerous to be cast directly using the body as a medium. That's when wands come into play in ancient times.
From a mere auxiliary tool to a mandatory weapon like status is given to the wand. Kevin read about this from the books of Salazar Slytherin who said if a wizard is nothing without a wand then he can be said to be a waste in Salazar's opinion.
With these thoughts Kevin looked at ollivander as Hermione finished choosing her wand. Ollivander turned to him and gazed intensely at his flame mark. Kevin can see ollivander is feeling nostalgic.
Ollivander then spoke," It seems yesterday that your father Alexander Stardust visisted this shop. He is favoured by a 11 inch sycamore wand with Phoenix feather. Sycarmore like your father is very curious and adventurous in nature while the Phoenix feather represented hus unique flames and his desire for immortality and rebirth. Your father is considered one of the strongest wizards of the era just below Dumbledore, while I think there isn't much difference before your father is assassinated by poison by a colleague".
Kevin looked ollivander and blinked while the old man said," I can see you inherited your father's curiosity and that mysterious mark ", Kevin stared at him while ollivander also stared back and goes to get some wand boxes. He took out many boxes and arrived to the counter.
He placed them all on the table and said," These are all the wands with woods and cores compatible to fire, light and lightning which are the elements your father excelled in. Try them ", a spree for wands is started more than 20 wands caught on fire the moment he touched them.
Kevin sighed. Same as the simulated life. After they tried more and more, ollivander gave him a mysterious pitch black wand with a small red gem at the bottom of it's handle. Kevin frowned as ollivander said," This wand is made from the branch of the Black Thorn, it's core is just like your father's a Phoenix feather but an additional crystalised blood of a dragon. This wand is found ina tomb and wasn't made any Ollivander ".
Ollivander then said," I can see a skilled duelist in you Mr Stardust ", Kevin looked at wand and held it while fire appeared out of the wand and semg sparks flying around. A chirp of Phoenix is heard from the sparks. Ollivander nodded while Kevin looked at the wand.
Let's of the syccamore wand is like a companion then this is clingy girl friend type. He felt a strong reaction from teh wand itself. This surprised him, anyway Kevin paid the galleons and get out of the shop with grangers and McGonagall. He returned to St Peter's orphange. He will stay here for sometime before moving to the house he bought in the wizarding world.
