Hanah crept down the hall, feeling a bit of adrenaline jolt through her muscles as she did so. She had rarely visited The Elk Wing, especially after her mother considered her old enough to unload all of her personal rage towards Uncle Ko to anyone who would offer her an ear. It felt cold, though. Likely because her father ordered almost all of the servants to keep their distance - to maintain the sanctity of it. No hearths had been lit, nor torches or lanterns to light the corridors. No windows had been opened, no curtains or carpets beaten to rid them of accumulating dust. It was as if her father wanted to entirely shut Uncle Ko from the palace, erase from it any and all memories of the youngest of the brothers.
