Capítulo 33: Tango with me
Hailey and her mom joined the others at the party. She and her mum parted ways. Mom went to join her husband while Hailey went to meet Jeremy. Stacey had disappeared out of sight a long time ago.
"Where's Stacey?" She asked.
"Stacey left here not quite long after you and your mom left." Jeremy explained.
"I guess you guys got along really well, am I right?"
"Well sort of. Your sister's very lively more than you are!" He said.
"So I'm boring, is that what you're saying?"
"Not quite so miss. Never mind!" He replied. Argh! He had started again. Jeremy would never change! Just then, Jeremy's friend, Kevin came to join the couple.
"Good evening Mr and Mrs!" He greeted with a smile.
"Hey Kevin, good evening." Hailey responded.
"Good evening Miss, how are you?" He asked.
"I'm fine." She answered with a smile.
"Nice. How about you Jeremy?"
"I'm fine Kevin." He answered uninterested in whatever he was going to say. The trio sat down observing the guests.
Just then, a band made up of a pianist, a violinist and artist began to perform. Hailey fell in love with the music. It was a waltz. Some couples had started dancing to the music including Hailey's parents. It was quite adorable. Hailey held Jeremy's hand.
"Let's dance Jeremy!" She said to him.
"Gladly!" He answered. He led her to the ballroom. The dance was really slow but Hailey enjoyed every bit of it. They spent a few minutes dancing the waltz. They decided to leave the stage.
The music changed and with the change of music, came the change of dance steps. It was a tango dance. The pianist and violinist were really good at it. Only a few couples kenw how to dance the tango dance.
"Jeremy, do you dance tango?" She asked.
"Yes I do!" He replied.
"Great. Tango with me!" She said and Jeremy smirked.
"Okay." He replied. They went back to the stage and began the dance. Their dance really attracted a lot of attention. Their body flowed with the rhythm of the music. Everyone admired the duo who were in the ballroom. The stage had been left for only them. They were so good at the tango dance. One would have thought they practised before the performance. It was really exciting to watch the couple dance. Stacey watched her sister and her husband dance so perfectly from a distance and she really admired them.
"Jeremy, all eyes are on us!" She said to him
"Do you care about it?" He asked.
"No not really!" She replied.
"So relax Hailey and dance to the rhythm." He answered and Hailey smiled. They enjoyed the dance. Hailey really enjoyed dancing with Jeremy. It was really exciting. The music came to an end and the duo ended their dance. They were welcomed by an applaud from the guests present. Jeremy and Hailey gave a courtesy to the crowd. Hailey was really happy. Jeremy lifted her up and they left the stage.
