Tobias's car sat quietly, patiently waiting as the line of black vehicles in front slowly unloaded their distinguished passengers. It was the same ominous fleet they had encountered earlier on the road, casting a dark cloud over both Tobias and Talon. The tension in the air was palpable, and even the usually composed Tobias couldn't hide the stress etched onto his face.

"I have a bad feeling about this," he murmured, his voice filled with worry.

"They let us go earlier, Tobias. Maybe they're not as bad as we think."

Tobias took a deep breath, his gaze meeting Talon's with a serious expression. "I wish that were true, but I know the type of people who attend these charity events," he said with a heavy tone, revealing the gravity of the situation they were in.

"A charity event?" Talon echoed, surprised. "You didn't mention that before."
