Cain gritted his teeth as beads of blood rolled down his cheeks and mouth. He had tried numerous times in the last few minutes but to no avail. The last one was the worst. His left eye had simply exploded, leaving behind a fountain of blood and a gaping wound.
This was happening, because he couldn't control the amount of mana the {Eye of Clairvoyance} skill was taking. Every skill and spell had a set mana cost. Removing the limiter on the magic circle or rune of ability would lead to it not needing to follow the mana cost.
However, the skill or spell still absorbed mana at a certain rate. This rate was constant no matter what. The limiter controlled the amount of mana a skill could have. However, the rate at which it absorbed energy was simply a product of all its components working together.
