Exhaustion crept over Damon, but then, the only thing that kept him going was the thought of keeping Nessa safe. He knew his time was near and if there's anything he could do with his last breath, that was to make sure Nessa was free from this animal. 

"How does it feel?" Christopher guffawed like a villain, he has finally run mad. His eyes were wide and there were veins on his neck and forehead as he began to strangle Damon. 

Damon tried to loosen his grasp but he was no match for him. The boy was strong and full of killing intent. It was no longer a secret that one of them was going to die today. The winner takes it all. The glory and Nessa! Although Damon doubted even if he died that Christopher would be able to make it past the front door with the military now in charge. He just had to buy time till they found them.
