Hi, everyone! How's it going?
First of all, I want to sincerely thank everyone who followed the story this far! Second, I'd like to share some thoughts about the ending and my impressions.
I believe the author originally intended to write an epic final battle, which would have been ideal. However, from his note, it's clear he was already feeling a bit burned out and decided to wrap things up more quickly.
The extra chapters were interesting, but ultimately, they're just bonus content. While enjoyable, they don't quite replace the satisfaction of a truly epic ending.
I can relate to what the author felt because I experience the story as I translate it. I try to make sense of things, create a cohesive glossary, and refine the vocabulary with the tools I have. Honestly, this approach helps me do my best—I entertain myself while translating. That said, I have to admit I felt a bit disconnected from the story midway through. Even so, I noticed that many people kept enjoying and engaging with it, which motivated me to keep going.
From my experience, fanfics often start strong but tend to end either abruptly or without a conclusion. This can be due to the difficulty of translating all chapters within a reasonable timeframe, or because the fic was dropped by the author. Still, I think endings are important for closing the cycle. That's why I pushed myself to finish this translation and share the conclusion with all of you.
For now, that's all! I've talked enough already. I just want to thank you all again for your support during this time. I'll keep reading and bringing new fanfics to share here. Feel free to recommend other stories that don't have active translations, haven't been abandoned, and that you consider worthwhile. Who knows? I might get interested and translate one of them! Wishing you all a wonderful end of the year!
P.S.: Do you like Harry Potter? If so, feel free to check out my translation of the novel Hogwarts: I Am Such a Model. This is my third translation, and I believe I've corrected many of the mistakes I made in my earlier works.
