"So what were you doing here in the Moon Bazaar?" Bing Tong kindly sat in a chair that Jiang Ming offered as she asked.
"I was here to claim ownership of the Moon Bazaar since someone offered it to me," Jiang Ming replied as he took a seat as well.
Bing Tong raised an eyebrow as she recalled the owner of the Moon Bazaar was Chen Peizhi.
Jiang Ming seemed to understand her confusion so he decided to clarify for her.
"Chen Peizhi had some problems so I told him that I can cure him so he decided to hand the Moon Bazaar over to me." Jiang Ming then signaled to Hong Ling to bring out the contract that he had kindly asked Chen Peizhi to sign.
Hong Ling nodded her head as she retrieved the contract and gave it to Jiang Ming.
While the conversation was seemingly normal for Jiang Ming and Bing Tong, it wasn't the same for the rest of the crowd as they were still kneeling down.
Since Bing Tong had directly ignored them and went straight to talking with Jiang Ming, she hadn't given them permission to stand up.
Lei Zichen who had been kneeling for a long time decided to whisper to his uncle for help.
"U-Uncle Yong, my stomach is starting to hurt again in this position. Can we get up already?" Lei Zichen was panicking as he could feel his stomach start to hurt because of Jiang Ming's ruthless kick.
If he continued to kneel in this position, Lei Zichen feared that his injury would worsen and they had been kneeling for far too long.
However, Lei Yong smacked Lei Zichen's head in anger as he whispered to him, "Do you dare to stand up when the princess didn't give us permission? Do you want to see our Lei Clan exterminated for disrespecting the princess?"
Lei Yong couldn't help but curse his dumb nephew for not knowing the pros and cons of this situation.
Bing Tong was talking to Jiang Ming without exerting any of her dominance or authority which meant that she treated Jiang Ming as an equal.
This was a disastrous situation for Lei Yong as he knew their Lei Clan could possibly be ruined if Jiang Ming complained about them to Bin Tong.
Unlike Lei Zichen who doesn't have any brain cells except spending the clan money, Lei Yong was smart enough to determine their fate if handled poorly.
While Lei Yong continued to ponder for a solution to salvage this situation, Jiang Ming was showing the contract for Bing Tong to look at.
"You can see Chen Peizhi was pretty desperate to offer up the Moon Bazaar for me." Jiang Ming said as he continued, "He was so persistent in wanting me to take over the Moon Bazaar and how he refused to stand up from kneeling if I didn't accept it."
Jiang Ming then gave a defeated sigh to show how unfortunate he was.
The crowd who heard Jiang Ming complaining twitched their mouths as they almost wanted to get up from their kneeling to punch Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming was complaining about receiving the most profitable and popular Bazaar in the Central District where every family and clan wished to obtain.
Hong Ling was no different as she also smiled bitterly at how shameless her master could be.
'It was clearly you who threatened Chen Peizhi to hand over the Moon Bazaar yet Jiang Ming decided to change the story.' Hong Ling exclaimed inwardly as she clenched her fist because she realized there is more to learn from Jiang Ming.
She needed to become a more shameless person than Jiang Ming in order to stay next to him as a maid.
Meanwhile, Bing Tong didn't say anything further as she glanced around for a person.
"You- the manager over." Bing Tong said as she called Cao Dong over.
Cao Dong panicked as he hurriedly stood up and bowed toward Bing Tong.
"Yes, Princess Bing Tong," Cao Dong then said with his head lowered.
"Shouldn't you hand over the Moon Bazaar to Jiang Ming already when he's the owner now?" Bing Tong asked as she decided to make things easier for Jaing Ming.
It was pretty obvious that Jiang Ming encountered a troublesome young master when he was trying to claim ownership so she wanted to lend him a hand to help his situation.
After all, this would not only build their relationship closer but she would also be able to investigate Jiang Ming more thoroughly without being suspected.
She had asked her Uncle Lang to investigate everything about Jiang Ming when they departed.
However, none of the investigations she got has shown that Jiang Ming was a prodigy in alchemy or successful in life.
What she got was that Jiang Ming was a thorough trash and was always on the edge of death in the academy.
"You're staring at me so intensively. If others didn't know, they might have mistaken that you have an interest in me." Jiang Ming suddenly said when he realized Bing Tong was acting a bit suspicious.
The crowds shivered in fear and wished to leave the Moon Bazaar already as they didn't know when Jiang Ming would offend Bing Tong with his audacity.
In the Northern Continent, no one would dare to tease Bing Tong as the last person who did so had their head hanging in a wall.
However, Bing Tong's attitude seemed to be different as she started laughing at Jiang Ming's tease.
"You really don't care about anyone and just say whatever you want." Bing Tong commented.
Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders in response.
"Isn't it better to act freely instead of pretending to be something else?" Jiang Ming added in defense of his behavior.
Bing Tong nodded her head and said, "Since you are so confident in yourself, would you dare to come to my house for dinner tonight?"
Bing Tong's invitation shocked everyone, even Jiang Ming was surprised by her invitation.
Jiang Ming rubbed his chin slowly, seemingly in debate if he should accept her invitation.
