In the past, MOBA games dominated both the PC and mobile platforms, with no real competitors in sight. Alex Parker believes this dominance will continue for another five to ten years. As for which game might replace MOBA as the next decade's king? No one knows. If someone did, they'd already be developing it.

This was true in Alex's previous life and even more so in this parallel world, where game design concepts are less developed. Even though VR games exist in this world, Alex finds their playability inferior to MOBA games. The types of PC games most impacted by VR are first-person adventures and FPS, followed by strategy and management games. Casual games and mobile games are almost unaffected by VR.

Alex believes MOBA games hold vast potential in this parallel world, as they haven't yet been introduced here. This conviction leads him to believe that PC games will not disappear, nor will PC internet cafes. However, he wouldn't explain this to others nor reveal any of his game ideas.

Emily noticed the layout of the experience store and asked, "I suddenly realized, are you the only person here?"

Alex was puzzled. "What do you mean by only me? Aren't there all these players?"

Emily clarified, "I mean, in an internet café, there are staff and cashiers. Are you managing all this by yourself?"

Alex replied, "Oh, you mean that. I manage. Players handle their own access. Maintenance and cleaning are handled by professionals, so I don't do much."

Emily suggested, "You should hire a cashier to help with these tasks. You're a renowned designer now. You shouldn't have to do everything yourself."

Alex nodded, "You're right."

Emily stood up, "I have to go back now. Come visit my café sometime. We're neighbours, after all."

"No problem." Alex stood to see her out.

After Emily left, Alex considered hiring a cashier. With "Plants vs. Zombies" now generating stable profits, he could afford another salary. But should he hire more than just a cashier?

Many designers have assistants, especially A-level or S-level designers who need a team to develop large VR games. Alex's growing reputation might attract many aspiring designers willing to work without pay, but he hesitated.

This world is different from his previous one. Here, creativity is everything. Alex believed that if an A-level designer discovered the concept of MOBA games, they could develop a competent game within a year. Alex's company, Thunder Entertainment, is far from being a giant like Generation Entertainment or Infinite Entertainment. For him, creativity is a lifeline that cannot be compromised.

He held Pandora's box. Once opened, it would disrupt the gaming world, forcing other companies to adapt. If this change came early, it wouldn't be good for Alex. Hiring an assistant is risky. Working closely together, Alex's design philosophy would inevitably influence the assistant. If the assistant left to start their own company, they'd become a competitor.

After much deliberation, Alex decided to hire an assistant. Developing large games in the future would require teamwork, so this step was inevitable. However, the assistant must be chosen carefully. It is better to have none than to choose poorly.

With this in mind, Alex composed a long tweet:

"Job Opening: Front Desk Receptionist for the gaming experience store. Female, presentable, serious work attitude and a basic understanding of the gaming industry are required.

"Job Opening: Game Design Assistant. Gender not specified. Requires a thorough understanding of the gaming industry, dedication, and a serious work attitude.

"Applicants must prepare the following materials: 1. Personal resume, 2. Review of 'Plants vs. Zombies,' 3. Review of any current mobile game, 4. Outlook on the future of the gaming industry.

"Send the above materials to my designer email. Those who pass the review will be contacted for an interview."

After reviewing the post, Alex felt it was fine and sent it out.

Alex now had nearly 100,000 followers on Twitter, primarily fans of "Plants vs. Zombies" and industry insiders. They were surprised by his tweet and quickly shared it.

"This is a great opportunity. Sharing."

"I really want to apply, but I haven't graduated yet. Sharing."

"As the designer of 'Plants vs. Zombies,' working with him would be amazing. Sharing."

"I want to apply! I'm going to write my game reviews now!"

Soon, Alex's tweet was widely shared, and many expressed interest in applying.

Most wanted to be his assistant, with few interested in the receptionist position. Even in this world, breaking into the industry wasn't easy. Those without the talent to independently create games often saw becoming an assistant as their only entry point.

With Alex's growing fame, many aspiring designers were eager to learn from him. In their eyes, Alex was a talented designer whose first game became a hit. Working with him would undoubtedly provide valuable learning opportunities.
