While waiting for Heisuke to come, Hisaki quickly prepared light dishes for him.
Using the leftover rice, Hisaki made plain porridge. She simmered one cup of rice with a few cups of water. At the same time, Hisaki prepared a small pot of seaweed egg drop soup. She didn't forget to add small cubes of tofu.
This meal was certainly a simple one but, it was also fulfilling.
"Hurm... just a bit more."
Hisaki turned off the stove. With the lids covering the two pots, she let the remaining heat slowly continue cooking the dishes.
Looking at the clock, Hisaki was surprised to see that it was slowly approaching midnight. Still, she was not sleepy at all. Her concern for her old man overcame her tiredness.
Hisaki walked inside the bedroom. Thinking that Heisuke would spend the night in her apartment, a dust of blush covered her cheeks.
