Capítulo 71: New Year, New Me

It didn't take Zero long to find the exit that the others had used, and with his enhanced speed he was out in mere moments. The downside he soon learned was that Conner's Speedster System didn't allow for continuous running at max speed. 

It was a passive ability to move at high speeds whenever he pleased, but it used his energy as the source to fuel such speeds - so the longer he used it the more it drained him.

Zero came to a stop about a mile away from where the exit to the cave was next to a narrow stream of water. He dipped his head straight in with no regards and drank from it. The water flowed into his mouth and spread a soothing chill across his tongue and coated his throat. Even though Conner's body wasn't as dehydrated as his last one was, it still felt to him like he desperately needed this. Each gulp felt like a small miracle that revitalized his shriveled spirit.
