Capítulo 75: Chapter 75: The Search for Zack
Cole's mind was racing as he and Ty drove through the city, searching for any sign of Zack. They had checked all of his usual spots—his gym, his apartment, the diner where they often met—but Zack was nowhere to be found. It was as if he had disappeared.
The underground had made their move, and they had taken Zack as their pawn. Cole's hands gripped the steering wheel tightly as anger surged through him. They had crossed a line, and now, it was personal.
"We're going to find him," Cole said, his voice low and determined.
Ty nodded, though the fear in his eyes was unmistakable. "What if… what if they've already—"
"They haven't," Cole interrupted, his voice firm. "Zack's tough. They wouldn't take him just to hurt him. They want to send a message."
"But why take him?" Ty asked, his voice strained. "What do they want?"
"They want me to back off," Cole said, his jaw clenched. "They want to scare us into submission."
The two of them continued their search, but as the hours passed, their frustration grew. Every lead they followed turned into a dead end, and Cole's anger simmered just below the surface. He knew they were running out of time. The underground was ruthless, and if they didn't find Zack soon, there was no telling what might happen to him.
Just as they were about to give up for the night, Ty's phone buzzed with a new message. He quickly pulled it out and read the text, his face going pale.
"It's from Zack," Ty said, his voice trembling. "He says… he says he's okay, but they're holding him somewhere. He doesn't know where."
Cole's heart pounded in his chest. At least Zack was alive—but they needed to move fast.
