Heiyuan's serpent tongue slithered, hissing upon the mention of his name from Chi Cheng. The black serpent morphed into his medium-sized serpent form, slithering rapidly towards the former celestial beast.

Heiyuan ascended Chi Cheng's body, coiling around his neck threateningly, leaving just a few inches of space for the former celestial beast to breathe.

Chi Cheng was unfazed, aware that Heiyuan possessed no instinct and leeway to attack another without an official order issued by his Master.

"You smell like my former Master," Heiyuan commented, magenta eyes dimming and glowing repeatedly as he projected the words from his mind into Chi Cheng's. "I sense his energy in you…what are you, Chi Chengxin?"

"Does your memory fail you, Heiyuan?" Chi Cheng mocked tauntingly, his lips curving. "Have you forgotten who it was that gifted you to Zhu Zifeng?"
