With the alterations made, their ice barrier was capable of absorbing and dissipating the heat from the lava and flame attacks. The ice barriers were also able to redirect the electrical energy from the lightning attacks.

On the brink of complete exhaustion, Chi Cheng braced his weight by striking his crescent blade into the ground. The demon they confronted continuously recreated the molten lava monsters to attack them.

He and Han Xuelian suffered minor injuries from the hordes of molten lava monsters that were set on them, persevering amongst the spontaneous lava and lightning attacks.

Now that the ice barriers were temporarily erected around them, the Grandmaster and Chi Cheng crumbled to their knees to savour a moment to catch their breaths.
