Huo Renyi was averse to the idea of the captured dark spirit illustrating Chi Cheng's lost memories. Although he desired nothing more than for his dear Master to retrieve his memories, submitting to the puppetry of a dark being was reckless.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Huo Renyi objected, his expression pensive while he flicked up the hilt of the sword at his waist. "Whatever it is you seek from it, I'm sure we can find other ways to do this."
"We don't have the time for other ways," Chi Cheng argued, jabbing a thumb over his shoulder in the direction of the gold barrier. "That," he said, pointing to it without looking, "will break soon. I don't have enough energy to maintain it for long and I'll soon slip into unconsciousness."
"If it breaks, then I will simply kill them," Huo Renyi remarked, snorting. "Their numbers do not intimidate me."
