Darian couldn't help but chuckle bitterly, his frustration and anger mounting. "Was this your plan all along?" He pushed Thalia's hand off his chest and turned to face her, his eyes seething with a mixture of emotions. "To make me regret and feel hurt over and over again after what you did to me?"
Thalia met his gaze with an unapologetic glint in her eyes. "She deserved to die," she retorted, her tone unyielding.
Darian clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. The pain and anger that had been simmering within him for so long now boiled to the surface. He could no longer contain the torment he felt, knowing that acknowledging the bond with his mate meant her death.
