If you asked Kadoc what he would be doing today, he would say training, talking to Mash, or hanging out with Anastasia. But no, right now, everyone was falling from the sky in an upside-down ship. Alongside him were Mash, Anastasia, Ritsuka, who was just not charging, and Kama. With them were other people: a pink-haired pirate named Drake and another servant named Daybit, the King of Israel or some other title he didn't care about. Kadoc couldn't help but wonder how this had happened.
A Few Hours Ago
It had started off as an ordinary day in Chaldea. Kadoc was in the training room, focusing on honing his abilities. His mind was on the next steps for his Nen training when he heard a commotion outside.
"What's going on out there?" he had asked, his curiosity piqued.
Ritsuka, who had been nearby, shrugged. "Something about a new mission, but I didn't catch all the details."
Just then, the doors burst open, and a frantic Da Vinci rushed in, her expression a mix of excitement and urgency. "We need all available Masters for a quick briefing! There's a situation developing!"
Kadoc exchanged glances with Mash and Anastasia before they hurried to the meeting room. Inside, they found Dr. Romani explaining the situation with an air of seriousness.
"We've received reports of anomalies in the Third Singularity. We believe we're facing a new enemy that's using an unusual method to disrupt reality. We need to get in there quickly, or the consequences could be dire."
As they prepared to leave, Kadoc felt a surge of anxiety. He was still processing what Ritsuka had revealed about the nature of their enemies and the challenges ahead. But he pushed it aside as they all stepped into the summoning circle.
In a flash of light, they found themselves aboard the upside-down ship, swirling chaos all around them. The gravity was all wrong, and the crew of the ship seemed to be in a state of panic.
"Everyone brace yourselves!" Ritsuka shouted, attempting to maintain order. "We need to figure out how to stabilize this ship before we crash!"
"What do you mean 'crash'?!" Kadoc exclaimed, gripping the nearest railing. "How do we even steer this thing?"
Drake, seemingly unfazed, flashed a confident grin. "Relax, mate! This ship's been through worse! Just follow my lead!"
Before Kadoc could respond, Daybit chimed in, "I hope you know what you're doing. We need to avoid whatever is causing this instability. The last thing we need is a free fall into oblivion."
As they scrambled to regain control, Kadoc couldn't help but feel the pressure of the situation. He glanced at Mash and Anastasia, their expressions determined but tinged with concern. Ritsuka's focused gaze remained on the controls as he worked to reverse the ship's trajectory.
Kama, standing slightly apart, observed the chaos with a smirk. "Looks like you're all in a bit of a bind. Need a hand?"
"Now's not the time, Kama!" Kadoc snapped, trying to mask his frustration. "We need to work together!"
With that, the group united their efforts, determined to navigate this unexpected crisis. But in the back of Kadoc's mind, a single question lingered: how had their day taken such a bizarre turn, and would they even make it out alive?
Sure! Here's a continuation of Chapter 8: 3rd Singularity from Fate: Master of Death:
As the chaos continued around them, Kadoc took a deep breath to center himself. He needed to focus, especially with Ritsuka trying to get the ship back under control.
"Okay, everyone!" Ritsuka called out. "Mash, I need you to scan for any sources of instability. See if you can identify what's causing this ship to flip like a pancake!"
"On it!" Mash responded, her spirit unwavering. She closed her eyes for a moment, channeling her energy as she began to analyze the environment around them.
"Anastasia, can you help her?" Ritsuka continued. "If we can figure out what's messing with the ship's gravity, we might be able to neutralize it."
"Sure!" Anastasia replied, her determination shining through. She joined Mash, and together, they focused their magical energies to pinpoint the source of the chaos.
Meanwhile, Kadoc turned his attention to Drake and Daybit, who were arguing about the ship's controls.
"Are you sure you know how to drive this thing?" Kadoc asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course, I do! Just follow my instructions!" Drake shot back. "Pull that lever and turn the wheel to the left!"
Kadoc did as instructed, feeling the ship lurch slightly. "Is that supposed to happen?"
"Maybe? It's a bit of a rough ride!" Drake laughed, clearly enjoying the situation despite its absurdity.
"Focus!" Kadoc snapped, trying to keep his frustration in check. "We need to work together, or we'll be crashing in a matter of seconds."
As they worked together, the atmosphere was tense but filled with an odd sense of camaraderie. Ritsuka was shouting commands, Mash and Anastasia were concentrating, and Kadoc and the others were trying to stabilize the ship.
Suddenly, a loud explosion rocked the ship, and a burst of energy surged through the air. The gravity shifted again, and Kadoc stumbled, grasping for support.
"What the hell was that?!" he shouted, looking around in panic.
"It came from above deck!" Ritsuka replied, his voice strained as he steadied himself. "We need to check it out. Drake, can you lead the way?"
"Leave it to me!" Drake grinned, her pirate spirit igniting as she dashed toward the hatch leading to the deck.
As they climbed up, the scene that greeted them was one of utter chaos. The sky was a swirling mass of dark clouds, lightning flashing ominously. A massive creature, a shadowy figure that looked like a blend of various beasts, was clinging to the side of the ship, its claws digging into the metal.
"That's definitely not good," Kadoc muttered, his heart racing.
"Is that the source of our problems?" Mash asked, staring wide-eyed at the beast.
"Looks like it!" Ritsuka confirmed. "We need to take it down before it brings us crashing to the ground!"
Kadoc felt the weight of the situation settle on his shoulders. "What's the plan?" he asked, glancing at Ritsuka.
Ritsuka took a deep breath, rallying the group. "Drake, you and Daybit distract the creature. Mash, Anastasia, you focus on defensive spells to protect us from its attacks. Kadoc and I will try to find a way to weaken it!"
"Got it!" Drake yelled, charging forward with her sword drawn, followed closely by Daybit, who summoned a blade of light.
As they engaged the creature, Kadoc and Ritsuka started looking for weaknesses. "Do you think it has a core?" Ritsuka asked, scanning the creature for any signs of vulnerability.
"Could be!" Kadoc replied, concentrating hard. "We need to find a way to expose it!"
Just then, the creature lunged at Drake and Daybit, slashing its claws. Kadoc watched as they narrowly dodged the attack, their instincts kicking in. The beast roared, and the sound echoed through the ship.
"Now's our chance!" Ritsuka shouted, pointing at a pulsating orb of energy glowing within the creature's chest. "That must be its core! If we hit it hard enough, we might be able to take it down!"
Kadoc felt a rush of adrenaline. "Let's do this!" he yelled. Together, he and Ritsuka prepared their attacks.
"On my mark!" Ritsuka called out. "Three... Two... One—NOW!"
Drake and Daybit unleashed their attacks, distracting the creature just as Kadoc and Ritsuka charged forward. Ritsuka summoned a powerful blast of energy, while Kadoc focused his Nen, channeling it into a concentrated strike.
The two forces collided against the creature's core, creating a brilliant explosion of light. The beast let out a deafening roar before collapsing to the ground, disintegrating into shadows that faded away.
Victory
Kadoc stood panting, trying to catch his breath. "Did we do it?" he asked, still slightly dazed.
Ritsuka grinned, a triumphant look on his face. "Looks like it! But let's not celebrate just yet. We still need to figure out how to stabilize the ship and get back to safety."
Mash and Anastasia approached, relief washing over them. "That was amazing!" Mash exclaimed. "But we need to focus on getting the ship under control."
Kadoc nodded, determination setting in. "Let's get to work. We can't let our guard down just yet."
As they began coordinating their efforts again, Kadoc felt a surge of camaraderie with his teammates. They had faced an impossible challenge together and emerged victorious. But he knew they were only at the beginning of their journey in this chaotic new singularity.
Kadoc quickly glanced over the control panel. "There has to be a manual override or something."
Ritsuka pointed at a lever. "Try pulling that one!"
Kadoc yanked the lever down, and the ship lurched as the engines sputtered to life. "It's working! But we need to gain altitude!"
Anastasia looked outside. "We're heading straight for that mountain range!"
"Drake, do something with that cup!" Ritsuka shouted.
Drake concentrated, holding the Holy Grail in front of her. "I'll channel its energy! Just keep the ship steady!"
Kama floated beside them, grinning. "How do you want me to help? I can manipulate reality a bit, but I don't want to risk it."
"Just keep an eye out for any threats!" Kadoc replied, still focused on the controls.
As the ship steadied, Ritsuka noticed a blip on the radar. "What's that?"
Anastasia squinted. "Looks like another ship… but it's coming at us fast!"
"Can we outrun it?" Kadoc asked, anxiety creeping into his voice.
"Not unless we get this thing flying higher!" Ritsuka replied, adjusting the controls again.
Drake shouted, "I'm boosting the energy from the Grail!"
The ship surged forward, but the enemy ship was gaining ground. "They'll catch us if we don't act fast!" Kadoc warned.
"Let me handle this!" Kama said, her eyes glowing. She summoned a blast of energy toward the incoming ship.
"Watch out!" Ritsuka shouted.
The blast hit the enemy ship, causing it to veer off course. "Nice shot!" Kadoc exclaimed.
"Thanks! But they'll regroup quickly," Kama replied.
"Anastasia, get ready to shield us if they fire back!" Ritsuka ordered.
Anastasia nodded, focusing her energy.
"Drake, keep channeling that power!" Kadoc added.
The enemy ship steadied itself and began to turn back. "They're coming for another attack!" Ritsuka shouted.
"Hold on!" Kadoc gripped the controls tighter, trying to maneuver the ship away.
"Ready, Anastasia!" Ritsuka called.
As the enemy ship fired, Anastasia created a barrier that absorbed the blast. "We need to fight back!" she yelled.
"Agreed! Kadoc, we'll need a plan," Ritsuka said, eyes locked on the incoming ship.
Kadoc thought quickly. "We can use the energy from the Grail to enhance our weapons. Ritsuka, you handle the attack while I keep us steady."
"Got it!" Ritsuka replied, readying himself.
As the enemy ship closed in, Ritsuka unleashed a powerful blast of energy toward them.
The ship broke into pieces, debris scattering in all directions. As the dust settled, everyone turned to look at Ritsuka, who had unleashed the powerful attack that shattered the enemy vessel.
Kama crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, glancing at the others. "What did you expect? For him to just sit around and wait for a ship full of Servants to come after us?"
Anastasia sighed. "I suppose not, but it's still... something."
Kadoc ran a hand through his hair, clearly stressed. "I mean, did we have any other choice? If they'd gotten closer, we'd be toast."
Drake chuckled. "That was impressive. No complaints here."
Ritsuka dusted himself off, shrugging. "It was the quickest solution."
Mash nodded, though still looking a bit shaken. "We should be careful moving forward. There might be more of them."
Kadoc leaned back, exhaling. "Yeah, no more waiting around for whatever's out there. We've got to stay ahead."
Kama looked out at the wreckage. "Well, at least that's one less problem for now."
Mash stared at the remnants of the destroyed ship, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "I wonder who was on that ship..."
A few minutes ago...
Onboard the ship, Blackbeard and his crew were preparing for a fierce battle. They had spotted Drake from afar, ready to engage in a classic pirate fight. Blackbeard grinned, eager for the clash of swords and cannons.
But just as they braced themselves for combat, a sudden red blast tore through the sky, obliterating their ship before they could even raise their weapons. In an instant, the ship was reduced to fragments, and Blackbeard, along with his crew, were forcibly returned to the Throne of Heroes.
Back in the present...
Kama, still leaning casually, gave a shrug. "I guess we'll never know."
