The room fell silent as each of them exchanged confused glances. "Hell?" Elian was the first to speak.
"Doesn't one need to have contact with the underworld to gain entrance to hell? And that is almost impossible as the only person who can grant one access was defeated and locked up himself," Vespera said, reading the anxious expression on each of their faces.
"The Devil," Azrael muttered with his head lowered. Gabriel ran his tongue along his sharp canines.
The elderly vampire nodded solemnly. "That doesn't make any sense!" Silas finally snapped, losing his composure. "If the devil is locked up, then no one can access hell, so how did Vorath get his hands on this so-called Soulstone, if that is even a real thing?"
"He was dead, remember?" Elian raised an eyebrow and said in a snarky tone. "There's no way he made it to the heavens, so he was already in hell."
