Capítulo 4: Chapter 4_ The Letter
Then, it became obvious I have visitors
"Khloe, Millie."i called and walked to the light switch and turn it on. My guess was right. They were sitting on the couch and holding a glass of my favorite, our favorite wine.
"Keisha!" Millie called putting down the glass and coming to hug me.
Millie and Khloe are the only friends I have since I was a kid. Being a vampire, we are forbidden from keeping more friends or making friends with the humans since it not safe. We were always together before I left to Kroger high on this task.
I was surprised to see them. I could be been more excited than I'm now if I didn't come home in this coffee state.
"How did you find your way here? How did you even get inside?" I said quickly disengaging for the hug. she seems not to have perceive and noticed the coffee on my dress and I pray they don't.
"Is she asking us that question? Millie asked walking back to the couch.
"Have she forgotten who we are so quickly? it just few weeks I think. Of course we have our ways anytime and anywhere." khole said.
"You guys aren't supposed to be out, it dangerous and you know it."
"And you are supposed to be in school too. We weren't expecting you by now either." Millie said.
"Wait, don't tell me you aren't excited seeing us?" khole questioned.
"of course I'm super excited but...."
"And you're looking way too scruffy. I almost didn't recognize you at first in this uniform and the round glasses and your hair too. What up with the new look." Khloe said teasingly.
Khloe was the type of bitch that can say any and whatever she wanted without considering your feelings but she is still my best bitch.
"Have you forgotten she is on an assignment here, of course she has to look different?" Millie said.
"Whatever. Wait, What is this smell?." She sniff in the air and then to my direction. she then dropped her glass, walks to me and sniffs on my dress.
"Holy fuck. What's this? Coffee on your dress? How the fuck did this happened."
Millie came to me too sniffing my dress. "obviously it's coffee. How'd this happen? Who did this?"
"Some bitches at my class." I said. I didn't Know when I spite that out. it obvious I can't lie to them.
"And what do you do about this? She hesitate waiting for my reply but I look away. "Nothing, No, don't tell me you did nothing."
"How could some little bitches did this shit to you and you remain calm?" Millie asked curiously.
"I have my plans girls. I let them go because I wanted to, not because I can't do anything."
"Now I get you. But you can as well give me details and let us handle it." Millie added.
"I'll deal with them myself when I'm done with them. For now, I still need them."
"it's okay if it's fine with you. So, It had been long since we went night prepping together. Why don't we hangout tonight." Khloe asked.
"Yeah, it has been really long. We should go, it we be fun as always." Millie
"Girls stop. No night prep and..."
"Why?" Khole asked impatient.
"You guys know I'm on task right? what if someone see me?"
"No one will. Even if anyone does, we'll shut him down."
"I can't do that."
"What do you mean? It's going to be fun you know, it always fun and I know it be long since you has something fresh right?" Millie asked.
"I said no night prepping. At least, not now. I got my head on something else and you know that."
They stood still looking at me in surprise. I was actually the type that won't hesitate on going night walks hurting for human. It the best stress relieves pills ever.
"Okay so what brought you guys here?" I said breaking up the uncomfortable mood.
"Her majesty sent us to deliver a message to you." Khloe said. She brought out a letter from her purse and dropped it on the couch.
"Millie we have over stayed our welcome. We need to go now." She stands up, cover her head in her hood and walk out. With her actions, I could tell she is mad at me.
"Red night bar, it up to you but I really do wish to see you there Keisha." Millie said and walks out covering her head in her hood too.
I pick up the letter. It was from my Mom. It read, "Stay focus and remember the red moon." I folded it and went to the bathroom, take off my dress and went into the bathtub. The red moon night is just few days from now. I really need to act fast. I closed my eyes and took a long deep relaxing breath. Then, my memories flash back to my vision I had earlier. It seems strange because it was actually the first time having vision. What could that mean?
