Loraine has this hint of hesitation in her eyes. She doesn't know whether she would believe what Damian told her or just let it went passed through her ears, from the left side to the right. The contemplation of which words to say was holding her back to respond to the man. In all honesty, the nicest and worst ones were fighting their lone battle within her.

And Damian seemed to notice them. He heaved a deep sigh as his hands found their way inside the pocket of his black slacks. The eyelids of his eyes felt heavy that he needed to blink multiple times before bringing his gaze back at Loraine.

When he did, the lady was already facing the wall made out of glass. She was staring far away. His instinct told him to do the same but he chose not to. Keeping his eyes all to her, he kept still in his position. Not moving an inch.
