Capítulo 89: Chapter 89: Precht: No Mistake! Makarov Will Lead Fairy Tail to Rule the World!

The dark mage guild, Grimoire Heart.

Here, within the high platform painstakingly constructed by Precht, lies the collection of numerous magic grimoires, defined by the world as lost magic.

Precht sat quietly on his throne, his gaze sweeping over the group of youths standing before him, all carefully selected by him.

Without exception, these youths possessed formidable magical talent.

Each one had the potential and powerful magical aptitude to become an S-class mage, or even beyond, in a light mage guild.

And for these young people, Precht was not only their teacher but also akin to a savior.

Aside from those who, under the high-pressure guidance of Brain, gradually began to lose their moral compass, such as the children being groomed as the Six Demon Generals, like Macbeth—most of the other youngsters gathered here had similar life experiences to Mirajane and her siblings.

Born with talents that set them apart, yet lacking proper guidance, they struggled to control their overwhelming powers. This difference led them to be ostracized by those around them—those mundane individuals who feared what they couldn't understand.

Some of these young ones barely had enough to eat before joining Grimoire Heart. It was Precht who discovered them, saved them from those fearful masses, and taught them how to control their abilities, guiding them into the world of magic.

It was precisely because of this that their sense of belonging to Grimoire Heart was particularly strong—none more so than Rustyrose, who truly saw Grimoire Heart as his home.

"Hey! Hey, Sorano, would you like to grab a drink with me later?!"

Rustyrose approached the young girl, Sorano, who was wearing a revealing outfit despite being only fifteen, her budding figure already noticeable, and asked with a grin.

To him, at this moment, he saw himself as charmingly handsome. With his unmatched looks, paired with that stylish pompadour, how could these beautiful girls not fall for him when he beckoned?

"Not interested."

"I only date those who are stronger than me."

"Come back when you've surpassed Captain Jellal~"

Sora decisively rejected the boy, whose very presence made her feel uncomfortable. He was clearly only fifteen but somehow had an aura more obnoxious than a middle-aged man—she wanted nothing more than to punch him. She looked at Jellal, who was speaking softly to Precht, and said so.

"Heh!"

"That Jellal is also a closet perv."

"One day, I'll surpass him…" Rustyrose sneered, nobody knew Jellal better than he did. After all, they were roommates.

He knew well what Jellal was like beneath his serious demeanor—an utterly debauched soul.

Jellal's slyness reached unfathomable depths, such as… often walking around their dorm completely naked.

Though, Rustyrose had to admit, on looks alone, Jellal was a tad more handsome—but just a tad.

"Jellal, select four members from Purgatory's Kin to accompany you to Fiore and take over Phantom Lord from Jose Porla."

"From today, you are the face of Grimoire Heart in the open."

"I want you to attain the title of one of the Ten Wizard Saints from the Magic Council ERA in the shortest time possible."

"From now on, Grimoire Heart will not only dominate all of Ishgar's darkness but will also join hands with Fairy Tail to become the apex of the light."

Precht shared his intentions with Jellal.

Naturally, Jellal had no room to argue; this was not a discussion but a command.

"Joining forces with Fairy Tail to rule the world?"

"Does that mean we reveal ourselves to them?"

Jellal paused and looked at Precht for confirmation.

"No need."

"If you encounter members of the Fairy Tail guild during your mission, there's no need to deliberately yield! Competition is still necessary!"

"Remember this, Jellal—adversity leads to survival, while comfort leads to demise."

"We must have a herd mentality…" Precht glanced at the "Ian's Poetry Collection" by his side as he spoke.

Although this Ian fellow always wrote about nonsensical things.

Quoting from "Ian's Poetry Collection" to appear profound was still quite amusing.

"Understood."

Upon hearing this, Jellal nodded slightly towards Precht in respect.

"Alright, you may leave!"

"Don't let me down… I have high hopes for you, Jellal."

Precht waved his hand dismissively, signaling for Jellal to leave with his men. He would soon resume his studies into the magical arts—to advance deeper into the Abyss of Magic. As a top researcher, he could not afford a moment's rest.

Well, Precht thought as he picked up "Ian's Poetry Collection" again, the Abyss could wait—there was no rush. He was too enthralled by these short stories and the impactful, quote-worthy lines that could increase his gravitas by several levels.

Cough, cough…

Meanwhile, in another part of the guild.

"Master Hades instructed me to select four people from among you to go to Fiore and take over Phantom Lord, the Light Guild once led by Jose Porla, one of the Ten Wizard Saints."

"From today, Phantom Lord will be completely renamed 'Lumen Guardians'—our branch within the world of Light Magic and our eyes within the light. We shall join hands with Fairy Tail to dominate the entire world."

After Jellal left Precht's study, he relayed Precht's words to the youngsters of Purgatory's Kin.

"So, which among you would like to come along?!"

"Hah? Why would we enter the world of Light when we are doing just fine here in the Dark?"

Zancrow sneered, seeing light mages as cowards. He had no interest in working with those of the light—staying too long with weaklings would only make him weaker, which was something he couldn't accept.

"It's an order from the Master, you don't have a choice."

Jellal's gaze fell on Zancrow, his voice cold.

"Ugh…"

Just a look, and cold sweat broke out on Zancrow's forehead.

Clearly, Jellal held significant authority within Purgatory's Kin.

"Heh, Jellal, my dear captain, I think if we want to infiltrate the light, the right image is important. Zancrow is far too short-tempered, which clearly makes him unsuitable. As for Kain Hikaru his appearance is already frightening enough without stepping into the light world! Azuma may have both the power and the looks, but his personality is too withdrawn. He would surely be ostracized. Let's leave him here! Macbeth is always sleeping, so he'd be useless in the light world. And Erik—a snake handler? Seriously, who in their right mind plays with snakes?"

Rustyrose spoke with an annoying smirk, managing to offend everyone around him in just a few seconds.

"Huh? Who the hell are you talking about playing with snakes?"

"I'll say it again: Cubellios."

"I'm talking about Kinana, she's a human, my best friend."

Erik growled, enraged by Rustyrose's words. He wouldn't allow anyone to insult his friend, Kinana (formerly Cubellios, freed from her curse by Precht).

Suddenly, a thick cloud of toxic gas began to form around Erik, its fearsome power shaking the ground beneath their feet.

"Do you want to fight, Erik?"

"You know you can't beat me."

Rustyrose smiled, his gaze filled with disdain as if he didn't even see Erik as a threat.

If you looked closely, you'd see a transparent layer around Rustyrose—a membrane he envisioned to shield himself from the poison.

"Tch."

Erik gritted his teeth. He knew Rustyrose's magic worked against his own. But that didn't mean he was going to back down without a fight.

"Enough! Both of you."

Before things escalated, Jellal's frown deepened, and golden magic power rose from him, standing between Erik and Rustyrose.

"Hmph!"

Both Erik and Rustyrose snorted, retracting their magic. They knew better than to challenge Jellal.

"I have decided then."

"Richard, Erik, Sorano, and Rustyrose—you four will accompany me to the world of light."

Ultimately, Jellal chose Richard, Erik, Sorano, and Rustyrose to go undercover in the world of light with him.

"What?!"

"No way! I refuse to go to with this guy!"

Both Erik and Rustyrose showed their dissatisfaction, pointing at each other's faces in anger.

"It's an order."

Jellal sneered. He enjoyed seeing people unhappy yet unable to do anything about it.

"Damn it."

Faced with Jellal's authority, both Erik and Rustyrose lowered their heads in resignation. They knew they couldn't defy him.

"I permit you to take your deputies with you."

"Whatever you need, prepare it soon."

"I will meet you outside the guild's main gates in one day."

"That is all."

After speaking, Jellal left, leaving behind the still-resentful Rustyrose and Erik.

"This is so boring."

After Jellal's departure, Sorano returned to her room, where a young girl, about eight or nine years younger, was waiting quietly for her. When she saw Sorano, she jumped up like a little bunny and rushed towards her.

"Sister, you're finally back!"

The little girl hugged Sorano, rubbing her affectionately, her expression filled with dependence.

"Mm! I'm back."

"Was little Yukino good while waiting for me?" Sorano gently patted her sister's head, her eyes softening, and she spoke tenderly.

"Yes! Yukino waited obediently."

Yukino nodded repeatedly, her face earnest.

"Good."

"How about going with me to a new place to live?"

Sorano smiled, asking softly.

"Okay! As long as I'm with you, anywhere is fine."

Yukino nodded; she just wanted to stay with her sister.

"Mm! This time, no one can separate us again."

Sorano whispered, tears forming in her eyes as she held her younger sister tightly.

As it happened, the reunion of Sorano and her sister Yukino had also been thanks to Precht's intervention—a reward for Sorano's dedication and rise through the ranks. Precht valued loyalty among his ranks.

---

"Kinana, we're going to the world of light."

"Perhaps… there, you can find the place you truly belong."

After returning to his room, Erik sat beside a girl with short purple hair. Gone was his earlier arrogance, replaced by concern and restlessness.

Erik knew well that she was different from him—so gentle, so pure. She shouldn't have to suffer along with him in the dark.

"I just want to be with Erik…"

Kinana replied softly, resting her head against his shoulder, her voice tender.

Kinana wasn't too worried about Erik's anxiety; she felt fine where she was. She didn't see a reason to leave for the light.

For her, Erik was her guiding light in this dark world—but she knew she was his light too.

---

"Brother, we're heading into the light world to make some money!"

"Are you ready?!"

Richard Buchanan excitedly slapped his brother Wally Buchanan's shoulder.

"Of course, bro!"

Wally smiled, pulling out his business plan proudly. "I knew the Master would expand into the light world, so I made preparations ahead of time."

"That's my brother!"

Richard grinned widely.

"Haha, standard procedure…" Wally smiled. Unlike being a wizard, he preferred the life of a businessman, wearing suits and sipping fine wine.

With Precht's help, Richard had also been reunited with his brother.

For a moment, it seemed that Richard, Sorano, and Erik were all experiencing warm reunions with their families.

Only Rustyrose returned to his dorm alone. Not only was there no family waiting for him, but he also had to face the pervert Jellal soon...

Thus, a world where only Rustyrose had to suffer was born.

---

"Next… Makarov…"

"Let's work together for the prosperity of the Fairy Tail guild!"

Precht sat on his throne, holding "Ian's Poetry Collection," reading while silently speaking, "Before me, there are no rivals!"

"…"

In Precht's study, Rob silently watched everything unfold, thinking to himself, "So, the second Master is back at it again… But really, I never thought I'd still be fortunate enough to hear about Fairy Tail again, even after all this time. It seems Makarov has done a wonderful job keeping things together. I wish I could go back to see it for myself. But I still haven't repaid my debt to the second Master yet."

Indeed, Rob, who was supposed to be in the Tower of Heaven, was instead here, working as a librarian for Precht.

When Precht was cleaning up Brain's various facilities, he happened to find Rob, drained of his magic and imprisoned as a slave.

Out of old sentiment, Precht not only saved Rob's life but also helped restore his magic—on the condition that Rob stay by his side and never return to Fairy Tail.

"Rob, you still wish to return to Fairy Tail, don't you?"

It seemed Precht had sensed Rob's mood; he spoke without looking back.

"Uh…"

"After being away for so long, of course, I do miss it a bit," Rob hesitated but admitted.

"You will return!"

"Once we unify Ishgar with Fairy Tail."

Precht said, full of confidence.

"Eh?!"

Rob blinked, unifying Ishgar with Fairy Tail? He understood the words individually, but put together… it sounded absurd!

Most importantly, he couldn't believe Makarov would have any ambition like that.

"Hehe?!"

"What? Are you shocked?"

"You doubt that Makarov could have such ambitions?" Precht sneered, seemingly reading Rob's thoughts.

"It's natural for you to be confused…"

Precht said, pulling out a folder and handing it to Rob.

"But everyone changes over time—Makarov is no exception." Precht said confidently, "Take a good look at this. These are the good deeds Makarov has been up to these past years."

"The church he allowed the guild to demolish? It was a remnant of a black magic cult!"

"Its main purpose was to intimidate those petty individuals who use Zeref's name for their own purposes."

"Bringing all the guild's top fighters to the Ten Wizard Saints gathering? It was to remind them who the real boss of the Light Magic world was."

"When he publicly beat up Jose Porla during the Guild Master meeting, that was to tell the other guilds who the strongest in the continent was."

"Whoever messes with Fairy Tail gets punished! If a mayor doesn't behave, he burns their house down! If a councilor doesn't listen, he finds a way to ruin their career!"

"If a townsman disobeys, the guild wizards tear down their livelihood. If they're hunters, blow up their mountain. Fishermen? Fill in their harbor."

"Even the royal family or nobility aren't exempt."

"Just the other day, Fairy Tail was responsible for blowing up the docks and train stations in several cities—to show the royals and nobility their strength."

"Hehe! Such brutality… even I can't compare."

Precht's analysis was thorough, as if he had thoroughly seen through Makarov.

"Without a doubt…"

"Makarov is preparing to rule the Light Magic world!"

"Though, I'm quite curious how he convinced Warrod, that old coot, to fight for him. His methods make even me marvel…"

Precht frowned. He understood Warrod better than anyone else; even he had tried to recruit Warrod to his cause and had been turned down flat.

"No… it can't be."

"How could Makarov do something like that?"

Rob was stunned, unable to believe it. He couldn't imagine Makarov—who he had known to be kind and caring—would do such terrifying things.

Could it be true? Had Makarov really changed?

"Accept it—Makarov isn't the man you once knew."

"I must also prepare myself."

"The current Makarov may no longer acknowledge me as his master."

Precht chose not to confront Makarov directly for that very reason—he feared that Makarov, with his current strength, no longer respected him.

Though Precht himself feared nothing from Makarov, he was wary of the power of the many powerful wizards under Makarov's command—especially Ur, Ian, and Gildarts.

"Power does indeed change people."

"I hope you haven't fallen too far, Makarov… If you start using Lumen Histoire for power's sake, then I'll have no choice but to fight you to knock some sense back into you."

Precht's expression showed a hint of concern.

Indeed, after witnessing all of Makarov's deeds, Precht couldn't help but feel like patting his shoulder and saying, "Sorry, compared to you, I really don't understand darkness. I could spend a lifetime trying and still fall short of what you seem to accomplish with ease."
