Chapter 44: Changeling
~Silva POV~
We finally arrived at the Guild only to have Erza asking with the present group around in a serious tone, "Is the Master here?!"
Mirajane responded to Erza telling us where the Master have gone in a polite tone, "Hi! Welcome back from your island getaway. So, how was it did you have fun?"
Lucy tried to not get in trouble anymore as she waved her arms pleading to not continue Macao replied to us, "As for the Master he left yesterday, saying there was some sort of council meeting since yesterday."
Gray and Natsu both sighed in relief realizing they weren't in any danger, but Lucy was more anxious about what the punishment was till Erza responded back making them fall in line, "All of you shut up!! When will the master return?"
Mirajane shook her head replying to Erza about when the master will appear again, "No, but I would imagine he would be coming back any time now."
Erza nodded as she turned around to the 4 of them with her arms on her hips giving out commands to them, "Alright. Now listen up you fools! You're not getting off the hook. You broke guild rules by taking on an S-Class quest. Prepare yourselves to be punished."
Lucy cried out as the boys huddled together causing me to laugh mentally at the scene, "What am I supposed to prepare myself for?!"
Next to Macao was his best friend Wakaba commenting about the poor misfortune group of their punishment ahead, "Guess there's no way around it! Still, never mind Natsu and Gray, I can't believe Lucy's gonna have to go through that... Poor girl..."
Lucy could only mumble what he meant as Natsu and Gray had more than a choice of few words and violence to say as I stay away from that mess.
Going over to the job request board I came to check out if there was anything new as my eyes caught something interesting commenting out loud, "Oh! There's a weird job posted – oh it's that spell."
Natsu, Gray, and Loke soon came over I observed what Natsu was saying about the request that have been posted, "Please decipher... Please decipher the meaning of this writing. Solve it, and I'll pay you 500,000 Jewel. Whoa, awesome! It's worth 500,000!"
Gray then looks over the request paper with a raised eyebrow looking a bit surprised by what was written, "Decipher some writing? That's an unusual job... Wait, this is an ancient script! Who can possibly read this?"
Happy cried out looking at the request and noticing the modern texts, "But there's a modern transliteration next to it."
Knowing what's going to happen next, I wonder if I switch bodies do I get the character's skills as my own?
Hmm…
In that case, if that were to happen hypothetically speaking…
Sticking close to Erza she probably is the one with the most skills I would like to have as my own or copy wanting to see if I can gain her skills like this thanks to Natsu screw up. Good thing I actually remembered this part of the anime.
Erza tried to stop them as I was merely curious about how this spell would affect me but made sure to memorize what the words Natsu spoke next with seriousness preparing myself for what was going to happen, "Oh! I can read this! Let's see here... Ugo deru rasuchi boro kania... I don't know what that means at all!"
*Shiii*
Rainbow light began to fill the area as I suddenly felt a change with the abilities of [THE GAMER] alerting me of the change immediately.

[Notice: Your soul and personality are being transferred into a new body destination to the nearest person…]
Closing my eyes, I soon began to open them in a new point of view seeing Gray shivering like a leaf, Lucy back aching and complaining with the weight of ahem… his new chest.
Natsu or rather Loke looked confused as he began to speak out confused, "Huh? Why was I on the ground? More like, why am I standing up –"
"GOD DAMN IT NATSU!!!"
*BAM*
Taking this as a perfect excuse to knock out Natsu/Loke's body down again making sure this guy stays here with Erza in Happy's body trying to be firm and composed to all of us, "What is all this commotion about?!"
That was when I saw Happy taking control of my body of all things feeling violated for all the wrong reasons seeing this from another point of view, "Oh! Natsu! Look! Look! Huh? Where's Natsu – Oh there you are! Why are you knocked out?"
Natsu in Loke's body began to complain lightly not being able to see as everyone was confused before I immediately brought up the point, "Seems like we have switched bodies huh? Certainly, a new feeling having… assets…"
Looking down at my 'chest' feeling many mixed feelings becoming a girl taking a feel for the body I was given as I then see a notification pop up for me learning new skills making me smirk seeing this is what I originally wanted just…
Felt weird how the process was done.

[Due to having your soul swapped into Erza Scarlet the Magic within her body managed to replicate a small portion of her skills as your own!]

I couldn't help but be frustrated at the situation I was given since it seems like I didn't exactly obtain her magic per se but rather her own skills.
Mentally sighing in defeat at the situation I have been handed saddened by the fact I couldn't gain more skills but a small portion of her skills.
Damn it…
That was when we all heard an old gruff voice enter the guild building as Makarov explains of the spell that was cast, "The ancient Unpela-ese spell has been cast. You kids aren't feeling like yourselves today huh?"
Like that we all got closer to Makarov wanting answers about the whole dilemma with Loke in Natus's body waking up being aware of the situation and wanting an explanation, "I had noticed that request on the board. By reading what was written on the page aloud you have cast a powerful spell of personality transference. And that spell is called the Changeling for this spell switches more than just your bodies. It switches magic as well."
"WHAT!!"
We all cried out about this, but I already knew how to counter this thanks to meta-knowledge.
Master Makarov also went on to explain more about the spell consequences with all of us doing a spit take, "There's something you all should know. If the Changeling Spell does not come undone in 30 minutes when the time has been initially cast, you will never be able to return to the way you were before. Or says the legends at least."
Everyone in our group panicked as I remained calm as much as I can but being in this body a bit longer feels weird to me if I'm being honest.
Going over to Mirajane feeling uncomfortable staying in Ezra's body any longer I asked how long we have, "Say Mira do you know how long we have left?"
In classical fashion, she replied in a serious fashion but that sigh she's holding says otherwise to me, "Sixteen. That leaves fourteen minutes for you guys left."
At this Natsu in Loke's body cried out in panic to the Guild Master, "Gramps! Is there a spell to turn us back?!"
Makarov on the other hand tries to answer us seriously as he could before replying making the group disheartened by the news, "Well, it is ancient magic, so it goes without saying that I....don't know. I was looking forward to punishing you for the S-Class quest incident...but it looks like you got your hands full for now. Well...! Good luck."
With him gone, I began to check out the skills I gained from Erza's body in disappointment viewing them sitting down and acting like I'm thinking as the group panicked.

I'm so disappointed that I have gone through this much trouble only to fail as I drag Happy in my body wanting answers, "Hey what gives Erza wait she's in my body so… Silva right?"
*Snap*
Answering in a curt nod I snapped my fingers in firm and composed expression hardening my glare at them getting their attention, "All of you shut it!! I think I have a plan to return us to our bodies but first I need some space except you two come here!!"
"Aye, sir!"
"Yes, madam!!"
Listening to the two cries of the ones afflicted by the Changeling spell I dragged Erza in Happy body and Happy in my body as Erza spoke out with hope in her voice, "Do you really have a way to return us back to our original bodies!! Please I don't want to be stuck in this cat's body any longer!!"
I nodded in agreement voicing my own discomfort of being in her body while giving out a small innuendo joke laughing causing her to blush, "Trust me the feelings mutual in that regard. I just … well… never have I expected being the first guy to be inside your body in something like this. Hahaha…"
For the people who got it, they all laughed at that getting the jokes with Erza in Happy's body pleading for me to proceed as I clear my throat, "Ahem! Yeah sorry. Wrong time and the wrong place for that. But I think I have an idea that it should work to return our bodies and if not, I apologize in advance for giving false hope. Now then… Aruboroya tesura rugi gou!"
When those words left my mouth using Magic to fuel it the effect happened as the rainbow light passed again getting the other's attention I felt a shift happening again seeing the notification occurring.

Closing my eyes and letting it happen I waited for a brief second…

Opening them again I noticed my own body again I saw my own hands again smirking in victory fist-bumping in the air, "Hell yeah! I'm back in my own body again!"
My eyes wander towards Happy being Happy and Erza happily regaining her body with joy written on her face with her face looking at me directly, "Oh! I'm back to normal! Tell me how you did it! How did you figure out those words would undo the Changelings effects."
At that I merely gave my honest reply with a smug smile on my face helping the rest of the members next, "I'll be frank it was a gamble I was taking when I dragged you two with me. I wasn't sure if it would work. I thought if I said the spell in reverse, it would reverse the effects it cast on the victims it was a long shot but I had to try it out if it worked or not."
Erza only sighed in relief thanking me a lot for returning to her original body as I helped out Gray and Lucy next giving them distance away from the members returning to their original bodies along with Natsu and Gray next.

With that they returned to normal again with Gray and Lucy both thanking me while Natsu on the other hand panicked slightly with Erza's glare evident on her face, "NATSU… you and I are going to have a few words for that stunt. If it wasn't for Silva, I would've been stuck in Happy's body for life… come you alone shall take their punishment. Gray, Happy, and Lucy are free from that stunt you pull with the Changeling spell. Prepare yourself…"
Erza dragged Natsu pleading for anyone to save him from THAT punishment crying tears for help as everyone turned his back on him me included, "NOO!!! MERCY!!!! I DIDN'T KNOW THAT WOULD HAPPEN PLEASE YOU GOT TO BELIEVE ME!!!"
Before leaving Erza looked at me with a thankful smile making me freeze at the words she spoke out to me next, "As for you Silva I'll be sure to thank you personally for assisting me and out of that predicament. Don't hesitate to call if you need help."
Like that, she closes the door heading to the headmaster's room as I turned around to leave feeling mentally tired from all of this as did with Gray and Lucy.
This has been quite the experience.

I'll just ignore Natsu's pleas like the rest of the guild...
More threats to overcome and more enemies to face in the future.
And don't even get me started on dimension-hopping in Edolas against their world army to consider as well.
Rubbing the bridge between my nose I feel like this is going to be a very interesting experience for me to consider as well as any interesting figures I might meet in the future.
Regardless though so long as I get stronger and smarter over time, I can say with certainty that I will surpass them by learning as I grow in the coming days ahead.
My eyes traces, over to Magnolia Town walking home as I couldn't help but smile seeing what kind of fate that lies ahead with me grinning at the thought, "Still can't believe this place would look nice huh? Better be prepared to handle Erza lessons since she owes me one."
I don't know if I'm going to be regretting those words or not but it's best. I get the handle of how an S-Class Wizard like her fights.
Probably not the best example to compare her current self to future enemies but it will give me a sense of where to possibly place stronger foes in the future with my own input.
That and I would need to learn how to fight against stronger Wizards soon enough one's that are in S-Class for starters being the Phantom Lord Arc is going to happen in the next few days soon enough.
The Fairy Tail series weren't exactly clear on what days I need to prepare for with the exception of October 15 for the Fantasia Festival and December 15-16 the Tenrou Island Arc where shit goes down.
That said today would-be July 15 meaning the Phantom Lord would happen soon and Tower of Heaven sometime or sooner to occur in those dates. But it didn't here instead I got the changeling instead.
This at least leads me that I'm in the anime version of the world, but I could be wrong as well as some certain events are misplaced or not. Too many possibilities to pinpoint on which one's I need to focus on with too little time in between to prepare.
With too many things going to happen in the future I think I need to increase my stats to give me solid chance in the future to give me the edge needed along with increasing my level in the process.
Hopefully the next day everything would be ok… that's not too much to ask right?
