"Oh my God, that was good." I fall back into my chair. I knew my dad's side of the family was Italian, but that was the best pasta I've ever had. Sorry, Martha. "I can't believe I ate three plates all at once."

Karen laughs, still eating her first serving. "I could. You wolfed it down pretty quickly that I'm beginning to think this man is starving you."

Dad scoffed, wiping the corner of his mouth with a table cloth. "Mom, it's almost impossible to starve this girl. She eats a lot."

"Dad!" I whined, my face feeling hotter than usual, and they only laughed even louder.

"Don't worry about it, honey. Your uncle could eat this forever. He never got tired of it." Karen said, her smile broadening at the mention of her youngest son.

I smiled, stuffing my stomach with the remaining pasta on my plate. It's too good for me to waste.

Dad broke the silence. "Well, I can't eat one more bite, or I think I might explode. I'll head up to my room."
