Haru's gaze remained indifferent. "To protect ourselves. They're too much of a risk. We can't afford to have them slowing us down or attracting more zombies."
Mira shook her head. "But they're also survivors! We can't just leave them to—"
"They're a liability," Haru interrupted firmly. "We need to prioritize our survival. I can't risk all of us because of them."
"Leaving them there… That's too inhuman, Haru," Mira said, her voice trembling with disbelief. She couldn't reconcile this Haru with the little boy who used to call her 'Mira-nee' with a silly smile. How could he consider abandoning the survivors?
