Capítulo 40: A Puzzle

"A child? No, princess, I never thought that you were a child even for a second." you are a toddler, a baby instead. I am the child here. He wanted to tell her but he shook his head with a blank face instead.

She could see that mocking look in his eyes. She was well aware of that look.

She was in illusion that the look was reserved for others but she never realized that she was the one whom he had mocked most.

He must have felt that she was a fool when she smiled at his small gifts, small things he had done for her. Now she felt like a fool while looking at her.

He.. he was no less than her father. The only difference was that his father hated her because she was never a strong child to bear the responsibilities. 

And he.. He took advantage of her. He had used her as a ladder when she was loving him wholeheartedly.

"Tell me what are you best at?" she challenged in a cold voice.
