Capítulo 29: Chapter 28 : Is it too late to go back to bed?

Dallas rubbed his temples as he tried to drown out the arguing voices of his board of directors. They were trying to start work in a new section of the industry, moving away from the raw material production his company was famous for.

They were arguing so much, Dallas was almost certain they didn't know why any more. He was surprised when he got a call and from none over than Iris. He wasn't sure why but he suddenly felt lighter as he smiled and picked the call.

" Hello handsome ", Dallas frowned as he removed the phone from his ear and looked at the screen [ Sure doesn't sound like her ] He put the phone back to his ear, he could hear voices and some giggling.

" Is anyone there "? Iris quickly answered, " I'm so sorry Mister Dallas ". Dallas sighed, spinning in his chair [ At least she's alright ] " Are you sure everything's alright over there "?

There was silence for a few seconds as if people were battling for the phone, " It's fine. It's just my friends goofing around. Did I catch you at a bad time "? Dallas smiled, shaking his head " Not all ".

" Morning mister Dallas " he could hear someone shouting on the other side. " I apologize on their behalf sir, How can I make it up to you "? He could hear someone else shouting, " Take him out to lunch Iris ".

Dallas laughed, his mood obviously better [ Her place must be so lively ] " If that's alright with you ". The line was silent again and he heard the voice he'd first spoken with " Of course it's alright. But it's a three for one package. You okay with that "?

Dallas found this person quite amusing, " Definitely ". Then he heard the second voice, " Great, we'll text you the time and address ". He heard Iris shouting and the two voices giggling and the call disconnected.

Dallas laughed to himself as he turned his chair, facing the others who were now silently staring at him, shocked [ Was boss just talking to a woman and he was laughing? ]

Dallas quickly got his composure as he spoke coldly, " Have you decided yet? I have plans ".

Iris groaned loudly as she threw her phone on the bed, " Why did you do that "? Rachel who was in a black bath robe was lying down on Iris' bed " We thought it'd be cool to call Dallas on your behalf ".

Iris was no longer wet but her hair was. Wrapping her towel tighter around her chest, she used the other hand to throw a pillow at her " Are you trying to chase my customers away "?

Rachel pouted slightly as she pointed at Gina who was looking through Iris' suitcase " It was Gina's idea, not mine ". Iris rolled her eyes, " Of course it was. You don't have enough brain cells to think of that ".

Rachel smiled lazily, " You know I've got the smarts, just too lazily to actually do anything ". Iris mumbled to herself, " Why are you doing this to me "? Gina laughed as Iris playfully stomped her feet like a child, " Teach you a lesson about not telling us stuff ".

Rachel smiled, getting off the bed " We can always do that on our girl's day ". Gina clapped excitedly while Iris raised an eyebrow, " We didn't plan this and besides, who's paying "?

Rachel smirked, draping an arm over Iris shoulder " Relax sweetheart ". Gina smiled as she brought out Iris' credit card, " We won't spend too much of you're money ".

Iris felt her body twitch [ I can't get upset. It's alright ] " I'm guessing it's too late to spend the rest of my day in my bed, huh "? They both nodded in unison and decided to finally get changed.
