Capítulo 38: Who is the bait, evolved, wounded

"CAREFUL!" Ciona shouted, and the quartet scattered, escaping the abrupt impact of the 3-meter-tall Iron-Tailed Alpha Monkey's body as it crashed to the ground with brute force.

Boom! dirty and small stones flew in all directions from the Iron-Tailed Alpha Monkey's impact.

They managed to avoid the main leap, but the Iron-Tailed Alpha Monkey was now closer to them than before. With a fluid motion, the Alpha Monkey turned its head toward the source of that scream, locking eyes with Ciona, understanding that the girl's cry had been a challenge.

In a seamless movement after the fall, the Alpha Monkey swung one of its enormous arms toward Ciona.

Ciona's pupils shrank to the size of needles. Next to her, the three-meter-tall monkey made her look like a mere baby facing an adult. The dust and stones from the impact hadn't even finished settling when Ciona found herself face-to-face with the creature that would be her executioner.
