Capítulo 14: Segment Fourteen, ‘The Mission’
'Dr.Wu's Pov'
Dr. Wu looked at Owen much like Lance before replying to him, "She is being dealt with by the army but I fear that even they can't stop her."
Owen's expression turned even more severe, as he roughly grabbed a hold of Dr. Wu's collar. "What do you mean! Just what exactly did you do to that hybrid!?!"
Flinching to the rough treatment, Dr. Wu looked at Owen as he tried to explain. "I fused the Indoraptor with the Indominus Rex DNA! That was the only thing that I could think of to use! Blue's DNA was ruined by what you did so...!"
"ARE YOU INSANE!?!" yelled Owen as his hold on Dr. Wu's collar became tighter. He was even beginning to shake him.
"Hey! Calm down!" curtly spoke Lance as he pried Owen's hands off of Dr. Wu. "That is why we are here!?! We were hoping that you could help us deal with the hybrid!?!"
"Like hell!?! We were lucky enough to stop those two hybrids from before!?! Then this jackass makes one out of the two most dangerous hybrids there are!?!" yelled Owen in his frustration and rage. "Even if we stop this one! He is going to keep making them for his selfish reasons!?!"
Dr. Wu watched Owen closely as he fixed his collar, and the fact that Owen was so outraged by his actions actually affected him. It was true, what Owen had said.
He had made this hybrid in his desperate attempt to get money, and now that hybrid was among them now causing havoc. This is without a doubt his fault. Dr. Wu was actually admitting that to himself, which was something that he didn't think was possible.
"I messed up." frowned Dr. Wu. "You are right, Owen."
Owen glared at Dr. Wu, his arms were now crossed over his chest. "Of course I am right!"
Dr. Wu took a deep breath before continuing, his gaze was locked onto Owen. "Everything that you have said is all true. I acknowledge that. Even myself now realize the error of my ways."
Owen was silent as he listened to the scientist run his mouth, and he merely shook his head afterwards. "You say that and I bet you are still going to make hybrid after hybrid huh?"
Dr. Wu was quick to say his piece in a firm tone of voice, "No! This Indoraptor is nothing like the first!?! She is smarter and sees humans as her primary prey item! If we do not stop her now, I fear that she will be even more difficult to stop!"
Owen blinked at his words, and he looked at Lance now. "Is he speaking the truth?"
Lance looked at Owen as he nodded. "According to Dr. Wu, she is very dangerous as well as she is bulletproof. I mean hell the guy can't even keep up with her!"
"I'm not surprised! Dr. Wu is the type to not think things through! Nor can he keep up with his own damn creations!" retorted Owen sharply after giving Dr. Wu a look of annoyance. "Every single time he makes one! He expects other people to clean up after him!?!"
Lance rubbed the back of his head now in a awkward manner, while Owen finished talking. Collecting his thoughts, did Lance speak up again quite earnestly. "General Camden is wanting to use the hybrid as a weapon. But I honestly believe that he won't succeed if that says anything to you?"
Owen stared at Lance as he listened to him, and once he was done did he sigh with his eyes closed. To Owen, Lance was speaking the truth. Even the look on Lance's face sure said enough, more than Dr. Wu's, then again Owen was fed up with him at this point. No matter what the scientist said, Owen wouldn't listen to him or take him seriously.
"If you believe that he won't succeed, then he won't." replied Owen. "Hell if a army can't take her on then we are in some serious trouble."
Dr. Wu was quiet now as he watched the two of them talk it out. Owen's words made him feel hopeful however. If Owen was to help them, it would be a massive weight off of his shoulders.
Owen's face showed further annoyance as he looked at Dr. Wu now. His next words were what made the scientist very happy. "Fine! I will help you guys."
Dr. Wu looked very happy, as expected but he knew that this was not going to be easy for either of them. His creation was going to fight with the entirety of her being.
Plus they were going up against a General and a army, who wishes to use her for a weapon.
This was going to be one of the hardest challenges that they would be facing by far. He just hoped that they were going to succeed in the end.
Owen shook his head again in disbelief at his own words as he turned around to walk back inside his house. The scientist knew that he was going to go change out of his sleep wear, and into his clothes.
Lance casually walked inside after Owen, and Dr. Wu was not to far behind.
The house that belonged to Owen, looked relatively comfortable with all things considered. Owen definitely found a good place to live, and he wasn't alone. Lance stopped in the living room of the home as he waited for Owen to return.
Dr. Wu was standing beside Lance, as he waited for Owen. His eyes blinked to the sound of a familiar feminine voice, and it was not long until another recognizable face appeared.
Claire was walking downstairs but stopped in the middle of them at the sight of him and Lance. Her eyes showed her judgement right away. "Did you seriously make another one!"
"I did." honestly replied Dr. Wu. "I am also being honest with you however, for I need your help. If we don't stop this Indoraptor, many people will suffer."
Shaking her head in both shock and disbelief, Claire went back upstairs.
Lance merely smirked at Dr. Wu after Claire went back up, and he leaned into him to say something. "I am glad to see you all getting along?"
Picking up on his words of sarcasm, Dr. Wu closed his eyes and calmly replied. "This is to be expected from them. I expected nothing less."
"I guess so? I mean you did make some dangerous animals that threaten mankind?" faintly chuckled Lance.
Dr. Wu heaved out a sigh in reply to Lance, his eyes were still closed as he allowed himself to think. He must come up with a plan now, or else they will be walking to their early graves. After a little while did Dr. Wu open his eyes at the sound of descending footsteps.
Owen was walking downstairs in a change of clothes, and he stopped to look back up the steps of the staircase. Another pair of feet was making their way down the stairs, for Claire was right behind Owen. From the looks of it, the both of them were ready.
"So how are we going to stop this thing?" asked Owen. "It's bulletproof after all?"
"I can actually make something that will kill her, but we need a strong enough weapon to pierce through her hide?" suggested Dr. Wu as he continued. "Furthermore, we are going up against the army as well."
"Course! It couldn't be easy!" scoffed Owen in a aggravated laugh. "Nothing is ever easy when it concerns Dr. Wu! He spares no expense am I right!"
Claire looked at Dr. Wu with her hands on her hips. "So this hybrid of yours is more dangerous than the other one? Mind telling me how dangerous!?!"
"Indeed. She is something else entirely! She remembers things and finds joy in watching her prey suffer!" replied Dr. Wu.
"Wait! Hold on!" frowned Owen as he pointed at him. "You're telling me that she expresses joy to pain?"
"She does!" nodded Dr. Wu while he continues to speak. "She will literally stare into your eyes and watch the life drain from them."
Claire's expression was priceless to his words, and he didn't doubt that she was experiencing chills right now. Even Owen showed great discomfort to this news, as he shook his finger at him. "Is this hybrid a sentient serial killer!?! How in the hell can a animal express such things!"
Dr. Wu gave Owen a serious look now, and this was his way of telling Owen the truth about this situation. "This is why we must stop her right away at all costs! The longer she is free to do whatever she wants, the harder it will be to stop her!"
"Christ!" groaned Owen. "In other words she is a literal time bomb!"
Dr. Wu nodded at him, which made Owen even more upset. Time was of the essence. "So where is the army!", asked Owen now. He turned his head to Lance who was quick to react.
Lance was taking a step back now, he was going to listen to the radio in their car. "You guys come up with a plan! I will figure out where they are!"
"We have no time to stand and chat." curtly spoke Dr. Wu as he followed after Lance. "Let's continue this in the car?"
"Fine!" replied Owen but he looked at Claire. "You tell me everything when we get there!"
Claire looked at Owen the moment he said that, and it was cause she didn't want to ride in the same car as Dr. Wu. But unfortunately she would have to, for Owen wasn't going to change his mind. "Okay but you owe me!"
Owen gave her a smile along with a wink as he walked over to his motorcycle. "Of course!"
Dr. Wu entered the vehicle along with Claire, and as they done so did Owen turn on his motorcycle. He skillfully maneuvered the motorcycle behind the vehicle that was being driven by Lance. The three of them were immediately on the move, while listening to the radio that was tuned into the army.
The very same army that was hunting the Indoraptor, who was proving to be difficult to bring down.
'Sables Pov'
The humans kept coming at her, one after another every time one of them failed to stop her. Each one that she faced was different, for they used different things against her.
All of these soldiers were moving toward her now, with full determination that they would subdue her. No matter how many of them fail to do so, they kept coming at her.
But she wouldn't quit, and she was not going to stop.
She earned this freedom, and she was going to fight for it until the unpleasant end.
"INCREASE THE TRANQUILIZERS!?!"
"MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!"
The voices from these humans were everywhere around her now. There was loud voices, various gunshots, and the constant footsteps from all kinds of soldiers. As they ran in to surround her.
These humans meant business, but they had no idea what they were up against. Just that thought to her alone, made her feel powerful.
Roaring loudly at them in full hostility, she sprung into action. Her speed taking some of them off guard.
"ARGH!?!"
Pouncing ruthlessly onto a soldier, did she viciously maul him with her jaws. His screams were muffled do to her snapping her jaws onto his face.
"MAN DOWN!?! WE NEED BACKUP!?!"
Yelled a soldier who was her next target, and as she ran at him was she immediately struck by a powerful surge of electricity upon her side. As she turned around to face her attacker, did a strong cable like line go around her neck from behind.
A powerful sound of metal gears turning, tightened the line on her neck. Which gave hint to this line being attached to an army vehicle.
"UNLOAD EVERYTHING INTO HER NOW!?!"
Unleashing a violent roar in protest, did she skillfully stand up onto her feet. In that moment it took for her to stand, a barrage of various gunshots echoed out around her. Each shot from these guns were filled with strong tranquilizers. All of which were ordered by General Camden.
"MOVING IN!?! WATCH HER CLAWS!?!"
Loudly spoke a soldier as his unit comes in to put metal lines around her claws and feet.
Each soldier that tried to put a line around her claws, would be slashed at or kicked by her. The sheer fact that she couldn't move her neck all that much, angered her to no end. An unlucky soldier moved a bit to close to her tail, and was immediately struck by it.
The power from such a hit, sent the man flying as he landed onto his head quite hard.
"ARGH!?!"
"WATCH HER TAIL!?!"
Ordered a soldier after seeing his comrade being hit, his head lifted up the moment he heard a loud straining sound. The metal gears that controlled the metal line that was around her neck, was beginning to smoke up. His eyes went wide as he took notice of her prying the metal line off of her neck, with her powerful claws. Seeing this, he was quick to run over and try to get them to stop the army vehicle.
"WAIT!?! STOP!?! WATCH OU-!?!"
In that moment a loud snap occurred, as the metal gears broke into pieces. The vehicle was quick to overheat after this had happened, as the metal line became limp.
This is what she was waiting for!
Sable got herself free with great speed, as she attacked all of the soldiers who were distracted by the army vehicle which was overheating. Some soldiers were still firing at her however, to no avail.
Tackling many soldiers, and swiping at others. Sable was constantly on the move, as she ran around and attacked each of her different victims. The soldiers who were clearly taking orders from their general, didn't know what else to do. Some of the soldiers were actually beginning to flee, due to how dangerous she was. None of the darts were slowing her down, and most of them were obviously frustrated.
"KEEP HER HERE!?! HELP IS COMING!?!"
Directed one soldier after getting a new order, he then lowered himself down in a military vehicle and positioned a powerful gun onto his shoulder. The muzzle of the gun was peaking through a lowered window of a opened door of the vehicle that he was in.
Sable who was not aware of this yet, was to busy pushing a soldier's face into the ground in hopes of smothering him to death. Her eyes were locked onto his own teary but shaky eyes. His muffled cries were that from nightmares, but to her it was music to her ears.
A loud whooshing sound of a gunshot made her stop, as it erupted at her side which made her look up. Seconds before she looked up was she struck by the same powerful rifle, but it struck her on her still wounded neck.
Unleashing a shrill but painful cry, Sable was literally knocked onto her side and off of the pinned soldier. The power of such a hit upon a wound, knocked the air out of her.
There was another one!?!
Her mind roared this sharply, she should of known that there were others!
Looking in the direction of the gun sharply, she screamed loudly in her rage. This was the maddest that she has ever been, and it only grew, due to them striking the wound upon her neck.
Charging through countless soldiers who stood in her way, she ran toward him in a wild but enraged manner. The soldier was panicking as he tried to quickly reload the gun in his possession. Roaring at him as she closed in, did she tackle into the opened door.
The impact from her tackle, made a big sized dent in the side of the vehicle. Screaming could be heard from within the vehicle, and this sound fueled her to no end.
Ruthlessly did she lean into the lowered window of the damaged vehicle, her claws were quick to grab the soldier who was inside but by his waist.
Sable felt him in her claws, and she mercilessly pulled him out, while her claws raked his waist in the process. The soldier's clothes did little to protect him from her sharpened claws, for her claws ripped right through them, like butter. His screams were so delightful to her, and once she saw his face did she snap her jaws onto his head.
Roughly in great speed, did she shake his body from side to side with all of her fury.
His muffled but strangled cries went on for only a few more moments, before ceasing the moment she snapped him to her right side rather sharply.
Sable then threw the corpse off to her side, as she showed off her mouth full of teeth and her claws.
'Dr. Wu's Pov'
The sound of the radio was on inside of the army vehicle that they were in, besides Owen who was on his motorcycle. Lance was surprised by what he was hearing, for there was quite a lot of panic that was going on.
Claire was silent while looking at the radio in shock and fear, before slowly looking at Dr. Wu who was as stiff as a statue.
The soldiers were trying everything within their power to stop a bloodthirsty hybrid, and from the sounds of it. They were losing.
Dr. Wu was completely pale in the face, as he heard everything that was going on.
There was screaming, and then there was roaring that went on in the background.
"Just what is General Camden doing!" glared Lance now at the radio once he lowered the volume of the radio. "Does he not care who dies!?!"
"It would seem that it is up to us then to stop her now." replied Dr. Wu. Once he regained his composure.
"How do you suggest we do that!" glared Claire now. "We can't stop it by ourselves!"
Dr. Wu looked down before lifting his gaze, and looking at the side mirror at his side. His eyes saw the light from Owen's motorcycle, for he was following right behind them.
"Exactly, that is why we need some help." replied Dr. Wu. "How hard would it be for Owen to find Blue again?"
"WHAT!?!" gasped Claire in shock. This suggestion baffled her, and she even remembered what had happened at the manor with the last Indoraptor.
Blue had faced the first Indoraptor before, but what makes Dr. Wu think that she could handle another one. Let alone a hybrid made of both Indominus Rex and a Indoraptor!
Dr. Wu heard her thoughts through her words clearly, but his mind was already on something else.
This was a mission to stop a powerful hybrid now, and they would be needing everything in order to stop her.
