Capítulo 91: Magic For A Kiss Part 4
Draco race through the halls. It didn't matter that people were staring at him. He just ran with one goal, knew thing in mind. He had to find Hermione.
Draco had searched all of Hogwarts now. She could only be outside. It was pouring down rain, but that didnt bother him. Draco just ran. Over the grounds, through the herebology greenhouses, everywhere. After almost an hour he reached the quidditch pitch.
There she stood, in the middle of the rain. She was drenched completely. It didn't matter to him. She only looked even more beautiful. A few people were littered in the stands, reading books or watching the sky under umbrellas and rain repelling charms.
"Zabini!" Draco called racing forward, using her correct surname.
"Malfoy? Go away!" Hermione all but screamed when he reached her.
Draco had collected a small crowd when he had been running. About twenty or so people entered the stands to watch while the people already there refoucused their attention to the two soaking figures.
"No, Hermione please. Let me explain," Draco panted, "And if you still hate me, the you can leave and I'll never bother you again."
"What?" She growled.
"There's a reason I didn't tell you her name. I knew her all along. She's my best friend and I didn't want to hurt what I had with her because . . . because I'm in love with her. I can't just kiss her and end this hex because she's too smart for her own good. She'd know I loved her, love her. She was the first person to forgive me. She convince others to see the good in me. Whenever I was down, she was the one person that could lift me up. She's everything to me. She's a beautiful, smart, strong, independen woman and I love her. Don't you understand why I couldnt tell her? Why I couldn't tell you? I love you, Hermione. I love you so much that it hurts. It hurts to know you'll never love the moster I am. It hurts to know that you're only my best friend when you mean so much mkre than that. I love you, Hermione. I really and truly do!"
Draco was breathing heavy by the end of his rant. Hermione was standing frozen. She couldn't tell if the wetness on her face was the rain or tears, but something told her it was both. Draco sighed once before speaking.
"I know you don't love me and I'm going to stay true to my word. But, before I ignire you can I just um . . . remove this curse? I'd like my magic back before I start ignoring yo — "
"Shut up," Hermione mumbled, her lips already pressed against his. "I love you too, you absolutely ferret."
